This item works as stated. First, the hair clip that is needed to use this item is not included so you need to be creative to insert the cord through the small hole. Good LUCK! My wife happened to have a 'small' hair clip that should have came with the package so this worked out well. Second, depending on the cord thickness, inserting the cord would be a challenge. I had masks with different thicknesses and the thicker and flatter the cord, you need strength to get the cord through. Once you got it through, this item works well. And this item is recyclable so you can use many times over.

I make face masks and I found if I pull through one length of soft elastic at a time with the steel crochet hook it all does better. I've tried two at a time and tend to mangle and stretch one end of each elastic, so just pulling one end through each time is the best. Also using a steel hook was better since when I used my aluminum one the hook began to warp somewhat.These cord locks are great for people who have been wearing their face masks for awhile since, with use and washing, the ear elastics tend to lose their stretch. I would recommend these products to make your face masks. I use the plastic double wired twisties from packages of ground coffee for the nose pieces. Handy tip is to work as much of the glue off of the twisties with your fingernail before you sew them into the masks. My sewing machine needle was getting gummy and not sewing as smoothly as it should. Everybody stay safe.

I have been making masks for friends and family since the lock down in March 2020. But always run into the elastic being too short or too long for different people. I do not like tying a knot on the elastic to make it shorter because that is uncomfortable to wear.This set of stoppers are soft to the touch and comes in both black and white. Given I am supposed to get 400, I decided to give it a count. And I actually get more than that.I made a prototyoe of a new style mask same day I received this (yesterday). After the mask is made, looping the elastic through the stopper is easy so I do not understand why one reviewer said you have to loop it before sewing the elastic.The pictures show how many stoppers I got and the stoppers used on the elastics.

Having just received these on my birthday, I have not had a chance to try them out. But they are exactly what I was looking for for my Covid face masks for my family and friends.Two days from order to delivery -- excellent!!If the toggles prove differently, I will edit my review, but for now, good purchase, seller quick to deliver, would recommend and use this one again.--- Finally used a few. Good for the elastic bands, of course. Would love to find some sized for using in binding strips. Though, had I paid attention the little tool was not included, I think I would have passed on this and gotten a bundle that did include it. I've since worked out that issue, but it was some trial and error for a few. Of course I was attempting to thread binding as well!!

These cord locks work really well. I use them with 1/8” round soft elastic. The small hole keeps the knot secure and hidden. Really easy to thread using a yarn needle or a large hole blunt needle. AndI like that there are both black and white.

These were perfect for making my mask ear loops more adjustable and comfortable. Product were delivered promptly and in good condition - no defects and correct number of cord locks in black (200) and white color (200). Agree with another reviewer that including instructions with illustrations as to how to attach would have been very helpful. I used the threaded sewing needle method and it worked fine and took mere seconds to secure the lock cord on my 1/8" round elastic ear loops. They seem to be very secure once you have them installed. I did not need so many but the price was so affordable, I could not resist buying them. Very happy that I got these, made my mask wearing much more secure and comfortable!

this product works fantastic to hold the elastic ear piece in place. Makes each mask fit snugly to each persons face. Theonly problem is, if the tool to use to put these on the elastics could be longer by about 2 inches, this wouold help the hold the tool easier with ease. also if somehow a handle could be put on this tool, that would be absolutely perfect, then... love the colours as well.

These do what they are intended to do. I found that they will work best on 1/8 inch material such as elastic for mask making.Once they are on they work well

Using for locks on face mask elastic. Very tight fit and much easier to grab to adjust compared to other similar flat ones. I wish I could buy 400 of just black though.
