Stretch Velvet Mint, Fabric by the Yard

I bought this to reupholster my king size bed. I ordered 7 yards and I did the whole bed, a bedside bench I had and still had maybe half a yard left. It isn’t too thick but it isn’t too thin either. It’s very stretchy and easy to work with. I love the way it came out on my bed. I will say, with the blinds closed the color green is a bit darker than I had invisioned but it’s beautiful with regular daylight coming in. All in all it’s a great value and a great product. I will be purchasing from this brand again soon in a different color to do my dining room chairs. It’s very soft and gives off a really glam, lux vibe. Highly recommend.

I was concerned after reading some of the reviews about this being too thin and looking cheap. I totally disagree. This fabric is a beautiful, deep, rich, WINE color. It is slinky, but I would not call it flimsy or cheap. It would not use it to upholster an item, but I do feel you could use this for articles of clothing. I ordered this to do shadow boxes and it is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for my projects. My photos DO NOT DO THIS JUSTICE as the color is much richer. Definitely a true, deep WINE.

Okay, let me start of by saying that this velvet is EXTREMELY cheap ($) and you kind of have to buy blind because it's online. That being said, I am impressed! The color is nowhere near what is presented online (see photos) and it looks/feels cheap but not nearly as cheap as it actually is. It is lightweight, stretchy, and a perfect fit for the one time use costume I'm intending it for. However, it is also very coarse, has little to no structure, and will not withstand repeated wear if seen into a garment. I've photographed it next to some standard price/quality velvet and the difference is clear. I also did a blind test with my husband who knows little about fabric and he said the feel was obvious as well. It's significantly better than what I expected, considering the price point, but it won't be my go-to velvet. In conclusion, it's great for a costume or a photo backdrop perhaps, but I wouldn't reccomend it for a repeat-used garment.

Beautiful color, exactly what I wanted. It has the perfect amount of stretch, super soft.I used it to cover my favorite chair, but it really makes great clothing

Oh my goodness! I am working on a project involving a jeweled cross, this velvet color and a frame with other embellishments. Need I say more?? It is going to to gorgeous, but I HAD to have the velvet! This is the most luxurious and classy velvet I have ever ordered! I will be ordering again from this company and it was a pleasure to do business with them! Primo!
