Great light
This light is awesome, I use it at work. The light is pretty bright for an inspection light. The clip holds on to my shirt pocket good, but isn’t hard to push onto my shirt like my streamlights. The bite cap is very handy when you need both hands and the light is very durable. Mine has been dropped and covered in oil. Definitely worth what you pay.

2 Year Update: My Best Light
2 YEAR UPDATE: I purchased this 2 years ago. I still use it every day. This is the best light I've ever owned. It still looks in near perfect condition and the blue finish has only slightly rubbed off on the tail where you twist it to open the charging port. This light is designed perfectly for every day carry. Most rechargeable lights cover the charging port with a small rubbber flap that is annoying and comes loose or falls off after about a year. This light's charging port being covered by metal and sealed with a rubber gasket is genius. After 2 years I've noticed the battery is slightly weaker, but only barely. It still holds a good charge and lasts me a week at a time without needing charged, however I don't use it constantly, it's a pen light after all, no pen light lasts a long time if you use it constantly because the batteries are small. They're meant for occasional use at night to spot things or walk to your truck in the woods. One feature I love is the low mode at 24 lumens. When most people purchase a light they look for how bright it is, but the dimmest setting on this light is great. At night, you can see very clearly on dim and it doesn't ruin your night vision as bad as a super bright light would. The battery does run down a lot faster if you use the brightest setting, but I rarely need it. After 2 years I still love this light. I might get a replacement battery in the future but for now it isn't necessary.

Easy to carry, great clip, bright long lasting light
All flashlights are different. I learned the value of this light is in always being able to have a bright light with you, that lasts a long time. It's so light you don't realize you are carrying it on your person. While changing my starter, although I had a shop light directly on the subject, it just wasn't enough, and I pulled out the flashlight and cast a nice bright light to see the detail in the shadows I needed. The light comes with a very well designed clip, they secures the flashlight extremly well, yet easy to remove. Far easier than using a sheath. Stores well in the leg pocket of my jeans. I carry it 100 percent of the time. I bought most of the high end Coast flashlights and love them all. This has some real advantages I don't want to go without ever again. Bought one for my Dad he loved it so much when I showed it to him. I also bought an extra battery to carry for backup yet haven't run the first one down to need the second one. Still for the price I recommend a backup battery. Easy to charge and easy to swap batteries. I highly recommend. Thank you for your time. I hope this helps.

Gets the job done. Not too light. Not too heavy.
Dies pretty quickly, but mind you, this is a “penlight”. Designed for quick checks. I use it to peak at the brake pads. Fits in tight spaces. The wide to focus adjustment is solid. Good coverage. Was a bit difficult to get charger in at first, now plugs in no problem. Smooth overall. Comes with 3! Bite grips, extra batteries just in case, or non rechargeable batteries, not sure yet. Still going. Same modes as the headlight, which I love! Great lumens! Once I started using it “only as needed” it wouldn’t die so quickly. Recharges pretty fast with usb c. Good product. Well invented.

Super Bright
This is a great pocket light. Its super bright and well made. It has a nice pocket clip, and it is small enough that you don't really notice it in your pocket until you need it. It dose not feel cheap and acts like a much bigger light. The usb charging is handy for camping and charging on the go. I like that the battery can be removed and charged separately. The battery is also interchangeable with a pair of AAA batteries. The only feature I don't use is the focusing function, that is kind of gimmicky and un necessary. The light is a bit expensive for a pen light but if you are going to carry it and use it every day it is well worth the money.

Good buy
I was skeptical but the light is good. Auto tech here and using the adjustable beam is great. Battery is typical of all pocket lights.

Works awesome
Not only is it rechargeable, but you can also replace the battery if it ever fails. I had one I used for work that the battery failed in and after replacing it everything was good until I lost it. I bought this one to replace it. Another great feature is you lift up the end ring to expose the USB port for charging and cover it when not in use. It really helps keep grime out of the port. It's bright for it's size. It's nice to be able to focus the beam also.

Decent light
I've had a few of these in the past. I lost my last one so figured I should get a replacement. This model now has a USB C charge port which I like(old version had micro USB). It can be operated with traditional alkaline batteries in the event the rechargeable battery goes dead. The only thing I dislike is the power button functions have changed a bit since I last purchased(I'm used to how my old one worked) Battery life is great unless you forget to turn it off prior to putting it in your pocket. One thing I wish Coast offered is a charging station to charge multiple batteries, the light can't be used when charging. * after posting this review I discovered there is in fact an external USB charging port on the battery. No need for a charging base/station. I purchased a spare after discovering the C port. The new style battery does not fit in the older version of this light(USB micro charge port) I posted a review of the new style battery number ZX320. It did receive bad reviews due to users not knowing it only fits the new version of the HP3R.
