I have an older Microsoft keyboard with PS2 plug that I just didn't want to give up. It's so much better than anything today. This item only had 3 reviews -but I didn't want any wires- so I took a chance. I was also concerned that the size would be in the way of other plugs - but it all worked out.I plugged the PS2 into it- plugged into the CPU USB - it came up saying "reading bar code" - but it works perfectly.

I have tried this on 2 different computers and with different PS/2 mice, and the adapter just doesn't seem to work with mice. The keyboard works fine. Even with just the mouse connected (tried both ports), the computers don't recognize the mouse. Rebooted, connected/disconnected, tried various solutions - no mouse support.To confirm 100% that the problem was with these adapter, I temporarily used a Belkin adapter from another computer, and all worked perfectly the first time.

Did what it was supposed to do.

Received it in a timely matter and was very easy to follow online.

When my laptop is plugged in for long time on desk, I prefer using a full keyboard and mouse instead of laptop keyboard and touchpad. This quickly plugs both in with no special software and are quick plug and play. I also have another laptop that I spilled too much coffee into. Too many keys echo and glitch now, so I leave the laptop keyboard disabled. I use this laptop to play movies from, and use one of these to control it.

When computer enters sleep mode, the connection is lost and I have to unplug and plug back in. Works during continuous use so far, though.

First one broke after unplugging from computer once....lasted 2 days. Haven't tried the second one. I will return these items.
