For the money, this was better than I expected. It's fairly comfortable to wear, although I imagine you might need a break if you're wearing it for hours at a time (I typically use it for no more than 10 minutes per session).I bought this mainly to use the super-magnified function to facilitate fine detail work when painting 30mm scale models, such as eyeballs on tabletop gaming miniatures. It is one of the better magnifying headbands I have tried for this purpose, however, the focal length issue does mean that in order to see what you're doing, you need to hold the target object VERY close, which makes brush control challenging. However, with practice, you can overcome this somewhat, in short bursts at any rate. If you don't need to super-magnified view (using the fixed drop-down lens), I can't see there being any problems with working distance.The light is more than sufficient, and the range of lenses should provide something for everyone.

Fits perfectly on my husband's head, yet no matter how I try it keeps sliding off mine despite being adjustable. Have tried different hairstyles, tighter, looser and different angles and positions with no luck. The light is handy and it works well - as long as it actually stays on your head.

Takes a bit of time to get use to the weight on your head and also taking care when looking sideways not to knock against anything. Vision is quite good with plenty of variations of magnifications.Useful for short time use as the weight and balance can cause neck ache

Very good for magnification but need to be very close to the item.Pleased with the purchase.

Brilliant adjustable lighting features & choice of lenses. Feels awkward & a little heavy at first but for close detailed work, it provides the user with hands free accuracy. Good fun!
