Cast Iron Hanging Bearded Leaf Man Garden Face

The item itself is great! Weighty and durable - looks great on the tree. The packaging was a whoops on Amazon’s part. Someone assembled a thin cardboard box and the mask’s nose rubbed right through it! Someone noticed and put the whole thing in a sturdier cardboard box, but the paint “patina” had rubbed off the nose, like the statues of famous people people rub for good luck haha!

Like the others said, the tip of nose was slighlty rubbed but I took a brown permanent marker, colored it in and ligjtly wiped it right away. Walla!! Fixed. It's a beautiful piece that I i put on a very large oak and it looks stunning and very natural. It's very hard to find something that doesn't look like a child made it or with a goofy expression. It's a heavy quality piece and worth the price. I would buy again.

I liked that the item had a good weight (truly cast iron). I used it as a fence ornament. It looksgreat and will last for quite some time. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I would have given 4 stars, but the tip of the nose made a hole in the cardboard packaging and the color rubbed off the tip of the nose. I was able to touch it up. This is well made and weighs almost 5 pounds. I will use it outside. I don't think it will ever break as it is made of iron. It is an antiquey gold color with black added to give it more depth. It looks much better in person than in the photo, but it also has more gold in it than the photo. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the product.

He's about to be part of a much larger home project,.... we are building a quaint adult playhouse up near the top of a hill. (our version of a primitive Hobbit House) with earthen floor,..... There stands a tree directly in the line of where the front wall faces a steep-ish, stone terraced, forest-covered hill. We have three choices,... allow the tree to stay and build around it (it's about 10 inches in diameter) and risk it eventually growing in such a way that it eventually damages the fun structure,.... cut it down and destroy a growing life,... or top it out and make it part of our project,.... attaching the green-man directly below the cut top, and allowing the tree to keep pollarded new growth above the face,... eventually in time, the tree will begin to envelope the face and become one with it,.... this idea greatly appeals to us. In any case the face is Perfectly Beautiful !!! and we Love it for our project !!! :D

He's made of cast iron so he will last a long time. He is so nice. I just love him hanging on my wall.

A very beautiful solid item. The shipping boxes left a bit to be desired- and the tip of the nose poked through the inner container - as other reviewers have written. But, no worries because the item is beautiful and solid cast iron. The finish is a bit gold but seems to be sort of powdery so I am sure that after a Pacific Northwest winter he will emerge with a nice outdoors patina. The face is haunting; whoever designed this Green Man did excellent work.

I have it hanging on the fence surrounding our yard. It’s fun and funky .
