5/19/25...I always think when things are well designed I can use them right out of the box. Life has shown me this is almost always true. Maybe that's too much to ask on such a cheap device.After several kids I was shocked that I couldn't use this device without first consulting the owner's manual. Among everything else, I couldn't get it into the Fahrenheit mode.For me, this portends badly on a 3 button device where I figured out at least 1 of the buttons. I will update this review after I consult the owner's manual.

We bought this thermometer in 2020 for the pandemic. Since then we've had Covid a few times as well as inflenza and norovirus. I've never gotten an accirate read from using the forehead reading, always had to use the ear setting. Pointless if you ask me. I would not recommend this product.
