Beautiful Fruit Expertly Packaged - Don't Hesitate
The seller took such care packing and shipping this fruit, I will not hesitate to come back for more. I ordered 10 pounds of this beautiful, bright, and nearly perfect fruit this year and fully intend to come back in the future. Each piece of this delicious large fruit was well protected in bubble wrap and extra padding was included in the top, bottom, and sides. My family loves persimmon cookies and we make dozens each season. I'm so glad to have this seller to rely on in the future.

Rotting, not ripening
Our local source did not get a harvest this year so I splurged on the outrageous cost for these persimmons. While they looked nice in the box there were numerous bruises I thought could be the beginning of ripening. So far not one has actually ripened but most of them have become squishy in spots so we've cut those. The spots are rotting bruises and the fruit that is not affected is still astringent and not ripe. A waste at over $3 a piece.

Beautiful persimons!
A little pricey but great quality and huge healthy persimmons. Need few days of ripping.

I like it because it's hard to buy here the Persimmons.
The best! I ordered other persimmons, but they were the most reliable so I ordered them again. Thank you so much to Amazon. And Thanks to California Hachiya, too. It's very sweet and delicious, and the quality is good. One or two of them are a little old, but I'm grateful that I bought them like this where I live . The price is not bad. So thank you more to Amazon for providing reliable like this items.

Okay batch
Like - when I ate into the ripe area it was good. Dislike - parts of the persimmon were rotting before the whole fruit could ripen. I would eat it as soon as I saw it ripen this way. However, some parts were still not ripe so I got sweet and bitter all at once.

Almost like being home for the holidays!
A Central California native, I have such fond memories of baking "all things persimmon" every fall with my grandmother and great grandmother, and then for many years beyond that with my own children and grandchildren. When my hubby and I moved to the east coast in 2015, I was so disappointed, that come fall, I searched high and low, but could not find persimmons anywhere. In fact, my mother-in-law, had never even heard of, let alone seen one. For 9 years I have mourned my loss of fall persimmons, so I was so excited to find them of all places, on Amazon! Not even thinking twice, (and regardless of the fact that I was paying a pretty price for what I had for so many years plucked from trees in my own yard), I ordered a 5 pound box and kept my fingers crossed. I am delighted to say that my persimmons arrived a couple hours ago, and I have been doing the happy dance ever since. There were nine little orange beauties in a carefully packed box, all without a single blemish or flaw! Now they are all nestled nicely into brown paper bags to finish ripening before they are baked into recipes passed down through my family for generations. This Thanksgiving one of our many blessings will include my great grandmother's (steamed) persimmon pudding. If need persimmons and cannot find them anywhere, I would absolutely recommend this supplier for the quality of their fruit as well as the speed in which they arrived at my doorstep. Many, many happy thanks to them!

Nothing But Rotten!
I bought 5 lbs, maybe there were 30 of them and all were rotten. I couldn't eat one single persimmon. See the pictures one from outside and one from inside.
