Wow
22nd Oct 2020 - TV arrived today (may update my review in a week or two) and just - WOW. I thought my old LED TV was decent but this just blows it out of the water, especially watching 4k streaming on Amazon Prime. The water droplets on a Ferrari on an episode of The Grand Tour were more real than real life!!Bought a Universal Stand as I knew the feet on this TV would be too widely spaced for my existing glass stand. Also bought an 8cat ethernet cable, to connect to my modem. As someone else asked me which stand fit - it's the ATUMTEK Universal Table Top Pedestal TV Stand with Bracket for 37-65 Inch LCD/LED/Plasma TVs, Height Adjustable Television Stand with Tempered Glass BSetting up my Samsung account / YouTube / Amazon Prime gave me a headache - but only because i have to wear reading specs to operate the remote and looking up and down at the screen menus was sending me cross eyed. Otherwise was easy to set up.Not keen on the Smart (voice control) remote (it comes with 2 remote controls) as its minimal buttons and abbreviated text/symbols etc. would take some getting used to. The "old fashioned" looking remote is much easier to use as it's has tons more buttons on it and is more intuitive - but you can take your pick. Came with 2 x AA batteries for the Smart remote but also needed 2 x AAA for the other one (the one I prefer) so it was a good job i had some in.Someone mentioned in reviews that their TV only came with a 2 pin plug - mine came with both 2 and 3 pin.Paid £635 for mine (Oct 2020) and would say it's well worth the money.Update 24/12/2020 - still very pleased with it and still marvelling at how good the picture is. Another reviewer mentioned sound issues - but mine is perfect. Only issue i have with sound isn't Samsung's fault - channels on Amazon Prime can be on 18-19 and yet some terrestrial channels you have to push it up into the 60s to hear it. Appalling levelling. I had looked at TVs with the functionality to balance sound levels out but decided in the end that the plus points of this TV outweighed the need to constantly put the sound up and down. Also - bought a mini keyboard and, just FYI, this only works on YouTube and the internet. Where you get channels with search that uses a "table format" of the alphabet (that you have to scroll around and select letters) the keyboard can't function. Annoying really as it can take ages to shuffle around, picking letters out.If you do want a mini keyboard - this one works with the Samsung - TECKNET 2.4G Wireless Keyboard For Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP and Android Smart TV, Extra Long Battery Life, UK keyboard Layout and Whisper-Quiet Keyboard.

A perfect TV for 12 months
Picture quality, sound quality are all great! Has all the latest apps with easy internet connection. But, mine has failed after 18 months of owning it. The wifi connection board has failed over 11 thousand times in the last couple of months. The manufacturers warranty is only for 12 months, and I now have a repairs bill of over £150! I've never owned a TV that has broken this quickly. Sony, LG, Panasonic brands of TV I have owned over the years have always served their purpose. The fact that a company only offers 12 months warranty is now a warning signal for me that they expect something to go wrong with it! Once this TV is fixed, I will sell it on, and do some better research into the next TV I plan to purchase. Good luck everybody else!

Ignore the Amazon Prime Day Reviews
At first glance seeing quite a few 1 out of 5 star reviews might leave a poor first impression to someone looking to buy this television. All I will say is, take them all with a pinch of salt.I think it is unfair of people to give this product 1 star especially when they don't even mention the television in their review.Anyway, the estimated arrival date was Monday the 9th of November. I was eagerly awaiting it's arrival as it has been a long time since I have purchased a new television. It arrived at around 7:30am on that very Monday, so there is definitely no complaint about the delivery time.Setting it up was a piece of cake and didn't take up much time either.I bought this television specifically as QLED technology is a good middle ground between OLED and LED technology, and given that my phone is Samsung (and has not had any issues) I figured their televisions would be just as good, if not better.I'd say its reasonably priced for the current tech market. If you're looking for the very best you'll be paying upwards of £1,000, so saving nearly £400+ on a slightly inferior product isn't that bad of a sacrifice. Obviously the picture quality isn't as good as some of the OLED TVs, but as stated previously it is a step above most other 4K LED TVs, and due to the fact that my previous television was nearly half the size of the one I purchased, it's a clear improvement with quite stunning visuals.I'm still getting used to navigating around the homepage and exploring all of the Smart features that come with a television like this. Linking my phone to my television to use it as a remote control is quite handy, and the "Tap View, Tap Sound" feature is also interesting to use at times. I doubt I'll make much use of the in-built microphone on the remote control but as time passes by perhaps I'll find it to be more useful than expected. Bixby is probably the worst AI assistant out of all the available ones, but that will no doubt improve over time. The sound quality is about as good as you would expect with a slim television. It's not the greatest, but it is far from the worst. They sacrificed perfect sound, for beautiful visuals; which is understandable. A review mentioned how they received two televisions both with poor sound quality at low volumes. I have not had this issue at all. Overall the sound quality is fine for me (and others that don't care too much about that specific area.) Plus, you can always buy a sound bar for an overall better sound.Overall, I'd say this TV is definitely a worthwhile purchase if you're looking for a reasonably priced television that can produce impressive visuals similar (but not exactly the same as) to the more expensive OLED televisions. If I have any major changes that negatively impact my experience with the product, then I will update this review accordingly but until then, I am definitely a happy customer.

Died unexpectedly
Like a lot of other reviewers, I paid a small fortune for this well-specced TV. I got two years of use and then it died. It's stuck in a permanent boot loop. I tried all the quick fixes on the internet but got nowhere. Eventually I took the back off, got my multimeter out and assessed the boards. It's a motherboard failure and a very, very well known issue. This is my second Samsung smart TV to have a motherboard failure not long out of warranty. I guess I should have know better (fool me once, etc.)
