Hilarious addition !
I just finished reading the land of story beyond the kingdoms and I just needed something to keep reading in the meantime the next book came out... and so I figured I'd buy these books and read them in the meantime and boy am I glad I did. These two books are hilarious and super cute but they are a super fast read and too fun to stop that I read them in a day. Now I'm here awaiting the next book again ...If you're a chris colfer fan and enjoyed his original series you'll definitely want to add these to your library .... and for the price why not!!!!!!

They are a great addition to the The Land of Stories world
These two books are hilarious. They are a great addition to the The Land of Stories world. I would suggest anyone new to the TLOS world read the other books first otherwise the personalities of Mother Goose and Red will not make sense since they are both quite outrageous characters here. But that's all part of their delightfulness and quirkiness. As I said the books are full of humor but there are little pearls of wisdom here and there too. Can't wait for more from this world.

Another addition to my Chris Colfer collection!!
First and foremost, I love Chris Colfer. I have every single one of his books, including several signed copies. This boxed set collection is just another one to add to my collection. The imagination of Chris Colfer is easily visible in every single one of his books, and this is a great read for kids and adults of all ages. Definitely recommend :)

Great books!
My daughter was OBSESSED with these books. She couldn’t put these books down! Chris Colfer has a way with words and describing details. My daughter was constantly updating us on what she had just read and was upset when she finished the series. Great books!

Fun new installment in the TLOS world
These are a hilarious addition to the Land of Stories world. Highly entertaining for kids and grown-ups alike, including many fun references for the parents that will go right over the kids' heads. My favorite thing about these books is that my seven-year-old son gets so excited about them that he'll read them on his own, when normally he wants me to read everything to him. These were great fun while we're awaiting the release of the next book in the main story.

Absolutely amazing! It's a different edition to the series, but it's a great one!
I loved this new edition to The Land of Stories. I am a fan of his writings, and new books were absolutely terrific! I have only one tiny complaint-In 'Queen Red Riding Hood's Guide to Royalty, I found it very difficult to keep up with her at times. Parts of the book were very disorganized at times. Other than that, I loved her exaggerated way of writing!Mother Goose's Diary was by far my favorite one of the two. It was written with such detail. I felt like I was there with her throughout her journeys.

Beware--more than not good, difficult, not for young kids
My kids, 7 and 10, love the Land of Stories series, so when we saw these books, I snatched them up. Don't make this mistake! The book about mother goose is not bad but way over younger kids' heads, discussing various historical events, making it hard for a young child to follow; it also has a few bad words and spends too much time on MG's drinking. The Red Riding Hood book is absolutely not on the same level as the series; it is written to be funny and sarcastic, comparing peasants to pets for example, but when reading it, I had to keep stopping and discussing the issues with my kids--often explaining and then reiterating that really, this is NOT how we should treat people. The Land of Stories series is full of action and valuable lessons; these books, sadly, are not. Maybe these would be good for teens, but I do not recommend them for anyone younger. If I'd known what they were like in the first place, my money would have gone elsewhere.
