Good monitor for the new Mac Mini M1
I bought this monitor to use with my new Mac Mini M1. I had no problem at all pairing it. Literally just connected it to the Mac Mini, turned it on, and it worked.I use outside speakers (connected to the Mac Mini) instead of the speakers on the monitor. From what I can tell, the monitor's speakers seem functional, but nothing special. I can't figure out how to raise or lower the volume on the monitor. So, I just ignore the monitor's speakers and use my own.I use this for work. I can't really comment on how it holds up as a gaming monitor. For my purposes, the overall picture quality is fine. Videos look fine on it. It has plenty of room to have multiple applications open at the same time. However, if you're a Mac laptop user who's used to the retina display quality on your MacBook, you'll notice that the text on this monitor isn't quite as crisp and clear as what you're used to with a Mac's retina display. But it's not enough to be a deal breaker. If anything, this monitor is a good placeholder while you save up to buy a fancier monitor. If I have any criticism it's that I don't know if this monitor has any controls to change the brightness, etc. or how to use those controls if they do exist. I turned it on. It worked. That's about all I know. The monitor came with a DVD of the owner's manual (not very helpful because who still has a DVD drive in this day and age?). Other than a small booklet showing you how to assemble the monitor's base and connect the monitor to a computer or AV system, there wasn't any other instructions on how to use the monitor's controls (if they do exist) or change the settings. I have no idea how to use any of the features like splitting the screen etc. that are mentioned in the sales pitch above.Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. It's a great big sturdy monitor with lots of visual landscape for a very cheap price. It's a great deal!

Great work monitor!
Great ultra wide monitor for the price. The assembly and setup process is very simple and take no longer than a few minutes. This is more of a work monitor rather than a gaming monitor especially since most other monitors are well above 60hz in refresh rate at much better resolutions. But it works great for work.

Great product for the price
I needed an extra monitor for relatives to use while visiting and working remotely. That meant ultra wide, good quality, and relatively inexpensive as it'll only be used a few months a year. I use a much higher end LG for my daily work and occasional gaming, and like the brand, so it's the first manufacturer I looked for. After comparing a half dozen models I chose this one. This monitor meets all those requirements and more. It's nicely designed and functional, and very inexpensive relative to other options of equivalent quality. The only downside is that it doesn't adjust up and down, it only tilts, but adding a monitor stand resolves that problem while making a more space-efficient solution. The refresh rate is not good enough for high-end gaming or entertainment, but as a work-from-home setup for office productivity it's perfect. All-in-all I'm glad I got it.

Initial impressions for gaming
I am writing this review for folks who intend to use the 100 Hz version of this monitor for gaming. These are my initial impressions, and I will update as I use it more. There are already some observations that I think are worth pointing out and will remain the same even with more use.BACKGROUND:I recently built a dedicated gaming PC and have been using a 1080p 60 Hz 23" office monitor until I purchased this one. I originally purchased a 27" 16:9 QHD monitor, which seems to be the default recommendation these days. It felt enormous on my desk and I just could not get used to it. I wanted to experience ultrawide gaming because that is unique to PC, and this monitor seems to be the only 21:9 aspect ratio, under 32", 100 Hz or greater.WHAT I LIKE:The size is perfect for my desk. 27" 16:9 was just too big for my setup. 29" 21:9 felt natural immediately and lets me experience an aspect ratio for PC gaming that is brand new to me. I have been a console and handheld gamer until this point in my life, and trying out a few games in ultrawide, this is exactly the peripheral field of view experience I was hoping for!I am happy to have a monitor that supports AMD Freesync, and 100 Hz is basically the ceiling of what my entry level GPU will achieve on non-esports titles, so this is the right monitor to support the system that I have now. Since I didn't want a larger monitor, and there aren't any QHD or higher Hz monitors in this size, I wasn't really tempted by any other monitors.I prefer to go for something suitable like this that meets my system performance right now, rather than already staggering performance by, for example, buying a higher end monitor that is capable for far more FPS than my current GPU, so then wanting to buy a better GPU to maximize that potential, then wanting to buy a new CPU to maximize THAT, then... repeat repeatI feel it is also a great size for multitasking office work. Youtube video + email, Steam + web browser, excel sheet + data source. Both windows with plenty of width. No need to squint or scroll left-right. Exactly what I wanted.I also intended to avoid a dual monitor setup so that when I am gaming, I am focussed on the game, and am not inclined to have anything else on the screen as a distraction that would break immersion.INITIAL IMPRESSIONS / CONSIDERATIONS:There is no height adjust; only tilt. In my case, the monitor happens to be near perfect height for ergonomic viewing on my desk. But if that is not the case for you, you will have to budget another $30-40+ to purchase an adjustable height stand. The monitor has a displayport, but only ships with an HDMI cable. So if you prefer to, or need to, use displayport, factor in another $6-10 to purchase a cable. Also on displayport, there is only ONE port, so it is not possible to daisy chain monitors using displayport cables unless your other monitor has two displayports. Probably not an issue for most people choosing this monitor, but something to keep in mind. The menu toggle button works fine, however the left/right toggle is for volume, and the up/down toggle both trigger the accessibility menu. These quick access features are useless for me and they may also be for you. I use external speakers, and I have no need for accessibility features. It is not immediately clear if I will be able to change the quick toggle functions for something more useful like brightness or to toggle between picture presets.Considering that this model has a 75 Hz and 100 Hz variant, I wonder if the 100 Hz version is simply an overclocked 75 Hz panel. I am not docking points off for this reason as I have no concrete reason to suspect this. But it is on my mind, and I wonder if it will affect longevity of the panel if it is the case.---UPDATE: I am controlling the brightness now with a brightness slider software which works great, so I'm not concerned with the quick toggle options anymore. I will say that I find the placement of the settings button underneath the center of the monitor to be poorly chosen because I have to reach directly over my keyboard and often bump keys in the process. So I'm glad I don't have to use the physical button on a daily basis now.

It has worked flawlessly for 9 months. Works well for research on multiple sites at once
It is of good quality. The picture is bright, the colors are true. I use it mainly for family history research, and I love the width which allows me to research from two sites and go back and forth. I have no difficulty reading words and ancient handwriting, it has good resolution. I have not used it for gaming, so I can't report about that. I use the stand that came with it and it holds it well and at a straight angle.
