One of the most applicable books on personal finance I have ever read.
If I could go back and give this book to my graduating self, I would do it in a heart beat. How much pain that would have truncated.I was just on the other side of the crushing student debt when I picked up this book. I had a masters and 8 years in a success career I loved, and lived like I made minimum wage. This book didn't just give me quick tips or talk down to me for buying a cup of coffee when I should have been saving for a house... it broke down ways to think about money/finance and how it ties into my self worth. That was the hugest spotlight for me. The author does and excellent job bringing the reader to their own conclusions by sharing her experience in working with the wealthy. No joke, within a WEEK of reading this book I valued not only my money differently but my time, and started charging small amounts for things I was giving away for free. People were happy to pay and during the pandemic crisis I was able to pull together a little business making an extra $400 a month.

Different from Most Debt/Finance Books
I loved the different perspective on loving yourself while paying your student debt off. One lesson I appreciated was not living penny to penny because of your debt and to enjoy life while paying it off. I would recommend this book to anyone who doesn't want to live a life of sacrifices, but enjoyment from life.

So approachable
This really does look a debt and money with a realistic eye. I’m a youngish single woman who had a great job and didn’t manage to save much and now have a job that pays next to nothing but I refuse to live like a pauper - life is too short. This offers practical solutions on how to keep your standard of living high while planning for your financial future and digging yourself out of past debt. It really broke it down in a conversational, easy-to-understand way and made me more aware and proactive about money without shaming me out of getting brunch with my friends. Highly recommend!

An Unconventional approach to blast large debt
This book contains a multitude of ways to get rid of student debt, gathered into one place. I think anyone (large debt or none), would especially appreciated the last chapters, which teach you how doing little seemingly unimportant things for others can lead you into situations that improve not only your financial health but also your emotional and physical well being. A great read.

Not really worth it
The book is not worth the money. It has some decent advice for a very small amount of the topics it touches but in general it's a big joke. The author is just a lady that after accumulating a ridiculously unnecessary amount of debt and failing at her dream of getting into the film industry ends up in a great paying job by just pure luck. Although she keeps repeating that she worked in a hedge fund and that she worked in finance over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again through the book, she actually worked as an ASSISTANT at the hedge fund company. So with that resume you obtain great tips like: Don't look for a 40k job look for a 100k job, how is it that I never thought of that??I get it she is not a financial expert (which she even acknowledges herself in the book) but she claims to want to offer help to the average Joe in their day to day struggle with career choices, personal finance and student debt. But her whole story is just based upon one fact: luck. There are millions of books that are much more worth your time and money, don't waste either of those with this book.
