The hooks do a decent job of creating or approximating a pinch pleat effect on retail, taped, header curtains.Be aware that they greatly "pinch" and pleat the curtains if used as intended, greatly reducing "reach". Much counting and careful calculating is required to achieve a more satisfactory result where the curtains meet in the middle and the pinches appear "uniform".Use toothpicks or similar to ease the prongs into the header tape of the curtains.On the three row headers I have, the hooks line up with the top row of the tape. Previously, I'd used the bottom row to use the curtains to mask the track a little.EDIT:1) Make a tool : Attach heat-shrink tubing to cocktail sticks to provide "sockets" to ease pushing the prongs into the curtain header tape.2) If you want them to obscure the curtain track (i.e. sit higher), snip the hooks off the back (cycle cable cutters or similar) and use normal curtain hooks slid in the lowest row of the three header rows.

Found to be fiddly at first but well worth the effort. Pencil pleats are upright and even.

Unfortunately, they were not suited to our needs and so were returned but the hooks themselves were good quality and delivered quickly.

These have transformed my IKEA curtains! They now have neat pleats and look 10x better!

Gives a professional look to gathered curtains, take time to insert prongs into tape, don't try to rush the process, slow and steady works well to insert each prong into the next level in tape, don't try full depth of tape in one go.

Easy to use and does what it should.

Getting the hooks through the curtain loop was not easy, the protruding wire at the bottom was hugely unsafe and hurtful as one pushed the hooks through the curtain tape

There's nothing wrong with the hooks but only 39 in packet.
