Fabric Knurl Road Bike Bar Tape, Black, VL1926

I am happy with the grip and comfort of this bar tape. The silicone strip on underside of the bar tape isn't super adhesive, so you have to get the bar end plugs fastened quickly. However, after that the tape is good for perfectionists because it is easy to unwrap and rewrap the tape on the bars if you need to make an adjustment as you install. The finishing tape is thinner, but it looks similar to the bar tape.Fabric Knurl bar tape is grippy and comfortable, providing good control. I can't speak to the durability yet.

Knurled texture, thickness and cushion combine for a great feel in all conditions. Screw-type end plugs are great (but need hex key). Finishing tape is great - textured to blend seemlessly with bar tape. Textured rubber surface is not durable tho. It is laminated onto the foam backing and can peel if there is wear in high contact areas (for me near the hoods).

This product lasted only 10 months and now looks very old and it is almost broken on both sides of the handle (close to the curves).I would place perhaps 2 starts of 5. I have another bike, and the tape looks almost new after two years. I use both regularly.Now I have to look for a different brand and cross my finger that that one has better quality.

I am quite surprised with the quality of this product. Very easy to install great feel on bare hands and not too tacky. Perfect thickness, easy to clean and looks good on the bike. Can’t speak to the durability yet but it feels like it is going to last.
