I like the idea of hammocks, but in general I don't enjoy being in them that much. My brother had one of these in his backyard and after sitting in it for an hour, I decided I needed it in my life all the time. We both two which we hung from beams in the living room. Honestly, so comfortable. My four-year-old sons find them easy to get in and out of. They tend to spin a little bit at all times (and a lot if you actively aid it), which I enjoy but some people might hate. They are really popular with guests.

I've sat in hammock chairs all my life, but this is the first time I've bought this brand. there is a lot wrong with them. First the groove in the spreader bar is too shallow to hold the loops securely. Second, and this is the dangerous part... the chair loop is inside of the hanger loop. When the chair is weighted, the hangar loop pushes the chair loop out of the groove. My girlfriend was sitting in it when it slipped out, and the bar went vertical and both chair loops were together on one end. I would simply change them around, but the hanger loop threads go through a hole in the handle. Worst design ever. Every other chair manufacturer of this type puts the chair loops outside of the hanger....do yourself a favor and go to Carribean Hammocks on AmazonUPDATE - The company reached out to me and issued a full refund... I sure can't say anything bad about their customer service!

I have breakfast and coffee here. I spend my evening with a book here. Love how you can sit up like a chair, or move to the side and put your leg up. I just want to have one in every room. 😅

I needed to replace my old hammock swing and searched high and low until finding this one online. It was sold out in many places except for Amazon. I was pleased not to have to wait for it to be restocked; the stay-at-home nature right now has me working by day and staycationing by night. Gotta chillax in my hammock swing. I chose this lovely charcoal gray color to mix it up after having a cream-colored one for ten years and I love this color. Bonus, this hammock swing is softer than my last one. The back is high enough for resting my head; the chair part extends so I can have my feet fully supported by the hammock. (I usually don't wear my shoes in it, hence the shoes in my photo hanging over the edge. Gotta keep the hammock swing clean!) Look closely at the manufacturer's photos. Another specification that sealed the deal for me was the metal insert in the hanging loop. I envision this lasting much longer than if it were just bare rope. If you are considering it, go for it.

I like this thing. Doesn’t really keep you sitting upright, but definitely good for lounging, laying back on the porch. And it can fit your whole body if you wanna stretch your legs out with length to spare. I’m 5’7 125.
