Pole Bean Smeraldo Romano Bean

These had good germination rate and we had a great crop of very delicious beans. Some of the very best we have grown!

These seeds were a bit more money than I would normally pay. But they arrived earlier than expected and in good condition. The company also sent me a free packet of seeds for zucchinis, and a personal note of thanks for buying from the company. Very unusual in this day and age and I appreciated the thought and effort. They have only just sprouted but are doing very well.

Started out by planting 15 with the intent on planting the balance 45 days later. The first were started indoors on a heat mat but only two sprouted. I have planted the balance directly into the ground but it's only been 5 days so we will see.

After so many disappointments I'm so pleased to have found the real Romano pole bean seed! Good germination, strong plants with great yield this summer. Though expensive, get them!
