Poolmaster 54583 Outdoor Thermometer Garden Stake, Dragonfly, Multi

I purchased the dragonfly garden thermometer to add to our small memorial garden for two of our cats who passed away. This is a really nice addition! It gives some height, and a certain uplifting spiritual feel. I like the vintage look about it. It was priced right, and to me, looks a lot more expensive. I do like the vintage look and feel about it. Even my husband who seldom expresses much enthusiasm about my purchases has commented more than once that he really likes the look of it. As far as I can tell, the temperature readings are accurate, although I have not fully tested and compared. Not quite sure how the sun and shade might also effect the readings, nor can I speak to the longevity of it in terms of durability. All I really know is that it provides a lovely bright spot in the garden. It was very easy to assemble (I ignored the included instructions); and for me, that's saying something. Think this would make a great gift for anyone with a garden!

I love this thermometer, its cute and looks great in my planter. accuracy is not spot on but close enough, I would still recommend it

Bought this item for my wife at Christmas to use this spring. Pulled it out of the box calibrated it and set it up in our home in a corner room. The item was working fine (temperature 72 degrees) so I moved outside in one of our flowerbeds. Now it registers 90(shade) to 100(sun) degrees. I would send the item back but there is a 30 day window for a refund. So I recommend that if you buy this test it right away. Apparently the QA people cannot be trusted at this establishment.

This decorative thermometer is lovely and would be perfect if you could just read it from any distance. That's why I gave it only four stars. I'm strongly considering replacing the thermometer with a higher contrast one if I can find one the same size because It's a bit low contrast with fine numbers which slightly defeats the purpose of its design. You can see why they did it though, considering looks a little bit more closely than function. But I like both. It is light, strong and tough, though, and overall I like it. I've learned what the numbers say even though I can't read them from a distance.

Cute, pretty sturdy in a planter. Temperature is within a couple degrees of other outdoor reading-none are ever the exact temp due to location. Haven't had it long enough to know how it will hold up in our FL weather (rust, accuracy...)

I did it again and didn't pay close enough attention to the size. I thought the measurement provided was the size of the thermometer but no, its the size of the whole peacock. So the round face of the thermometer is on 6 inches!

As a thermometer it is inaccurate. Has easy access to change thermometer reading and make it be the right temperature so is should continue to read correct temp. But it doesn't. The knob for fixing the reading temp easily turns by mild wind/breeze while standing outside in garden. No temp lines between the ten degree markings. Looks pretty, but not dependable for actual temp gauge readings. Even though looks pretty, even that is overpriced.

The Temp Gauge is nice with a quality face. The problem is, the face background is off color beige and the hands are small so you cannot read it more than 6-8 feet away. The face needs to have a better contrast for readability. As yard decoration, it is great. I just wished it was easier to read at a distance. Everything else was fine with quality and it makes an attractive yard display.

The frog Is very cute! It and the thermometer are well made. It has two height options on its quality pole. Although the photo was taken inside, the unit is out in the westcoast weather and is keeping an accurate temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. I love it and would highly recommend it.

Attractive garden art worthless thermometer. I have adjusted the temperature multiple times & it increases dramatically. I wonder movement caused by wind interferes with measure. It has never shown the correct shortly after adjusting.

My granddaughter lives flamingos. I can’t wait to add this in my garden. Looks well made.
