The projector hookup in my classroom has only an HDMI port. I had an older MacBook that only had USB-C ports. I had to buy this cord to use in my classroom. It works perfectly, and I am able to move the cord around my desk and area so that I can use my laptop when I am in the front of the classroom and still be hooked up to the projector. The cord is an excellent length for use. Overall, the cord works perfectly, and I haven't had any issues. I even use it with a laptop that has an HDMI port, but I don't like having to switch out the cords. This cord is compatible with MacBooks and Lenovo laptops, based on my usage.

This inexpensive item works perfectly. I just used it today to watch a Zoom talk on a big monitor. I plugged it into the HDMI port on the monitor and the USB C port on my chromebook. The chromebook immediately saw the monitor. Then I had the chromebook mirror its display on the monitor.
