Can i steam vegetables at the same time as cooking rice? is yes, do i need to make any adjustments in the amount of water used? thank you

My wife is Asian. She primarily uses it for rice. The cooking event is per a preset timer, then a keep warm phase. Vegetables are tricky because the require different cooking times. I don't see why not? But I wouldn't mix rice and vegetables. I would do two separate events.
