These are very good and will probably spoil your enjoyment of other chocolates after tasting them.

Though I didn't see them, these chocolates were very well received by my family (I sent them as a Valentine's Day gift). I was searching for special chocolates and really combed through reviews on Amazon to check for beauty, flavor, freshness and packaging. These Belgian chocolates seemed to be the answer. My family said they were absolutely beautiful and delicious! I would recommend Leonidas Belgian Chocolates based on my research and a solid family testimonial!

I sure hope the saying is true, "Good things come in small packages"?! The box I received is pink, not blue as pictured on Amazon and the box seems um quite small, 7.5 inches squared about 1.5 inches high, not too impressive for a $65 bonbon purchase. (And I had such expectations, too--wasn't Leonidas the larger than life king who led the legendary seige at Thermopylae? Anyway, I digress.) Doesn't seem like much to present for Mother's Day. I'm hoping the books and wine we bought will help floof it up, or we just might cave and grab a box of Godivas. It also arrived only a day after I ordered it, thankfully wrapped in plastic, as it was left on my stoop by whoever delivered it, without the lightest tap on my door to let me know it had arrived---too bad too as my desk is on the other side of that door. (Could I have dozed off for a nanosecond and missed it?) Anyway, the cold packs it came with were melted. I guess I'll keep it in the fridge until the grand opening this Sunday. And if I don't receive raving reviews that the chocolate is "legendary," that's it for me and ol' Leonidas, even if he was...ahem...unnervingly attractive in 300.

I bought this because I wanted to find out what high end chocolate tasted like. It was worth it! Though tempted, I don’t think I will do it again.

We’ve been to Belgium and brought chocolate back to America. No comparison, the craftsmanship and quality are exceptional. I love this gift box for the price and value. Is it exactly like buying in Europe, no. But it’s a pretty high quality you can buy with leaving your living room.
