I never write a review but I had to for this pillow. Recebtly had ACL reconstruction surgery, and my left leg naturally falls to the left. No matter how many pillows I would put, the leg would just give up. It’s amazing how I can take a nap with my whole leg being straight. I know for a fact this pillow will help me with a speedy recovery.

excellent for use post knee replacement. comfortable in using for knee extension that’s key to rehab recovery after having knee surgery. Little high in pricing, but worth it to get leg extended fully.

I refer to this as my “torture pillow”. I am currently pre-TKA but I’ve already lost some extension in the leg so I’m using this preop to help maximize the extension I can get before surgery in hopes that after surgery getting back to full extension will be quicker. It’s no fault of the pillow that my knee hurts during the process so I feel bad for calling it my “torture pillow”. I’m using it on my good (well, not as bad is more like it) leg as well sometimes and it doesn’t hurt at all on that leg. I do find the foam uncomfortable/scratchy on bare skin but use a T-shirt as a pillow case and problem solved. UPDATE I’m still preop, but after a couple of weeks of using the pillow it no longer hurts. At first I could not use if for even 15 minutes without severe discomfort but now I can use it for an hour straight no problem with only slight discomfort. Seems to be working to regain extension in my knee! POSTOP UPDATE I am just shy of six weeks post TKA. Using the pillow for more than a minute at a time has been very painful and challenging, but I have worked my way up to 10 minutes (albeit uncomfortable minutes) and plan to keep working on it. The pillow really helps me get into a stable position to work on my knee extension and I would recommend it to anyone needing to improve their knee extension. I will update again in another few weeks or so. ANOTHER UPDATE just over 3 months postop and it is getting less and less uncomfortable and my leg straightens pretty well. When I’m sitting on the ground with my leg straight out in front of me (without the ZDKP), I still can’t contract the front of my leg hard enough to lift my heel off the ground like I can with my non-surgical leg. I’m hoping continued use of the ZDKP (as well as my strengthening exercises) helps to achieve that. Will do another update in another few months.

I used this a lot after my total knee replacement in order to improve my extension. I called it my torture pillow
