EasyPro PP12 Pond Pump Pro-Tector / 12" Diameter

This pre-filter works best when used with a piece of filter pad as a lid or cover to seal the top. When used with a Tetra part # 19018-900 Replacement Pad as a lid ($13.50 from Amazon), this pump protector basket filter works perfectly. It is then easy to hose off for cleaning and keeps your pump clean and reduces the mess in your filter if you use one. It is worth every penny for the peace of mind if used with the Tetra replacement pad.

This is working really well to keep gunk and leaves out of the pump.

The overall quality of this product is great and solved my filter problem inexpensively. The only thing that I would say that needs improved is the drawstring/ seal around the top. It doesn't stay closed tight enough to keep smaller debris from getting in, but still stays closed enough to keep larger pieces out.

Exactly what I needed. The original pump on my fountain quit working. I purchased the replacement pump recommended. It did not work like the old pump. It kept slowing down, almost stopping, with very few leaves around it. I purchased pump bags which did not help. Now using this pump pro-tecor, the new pump works better than the original pump.

Works great in my little pond and waterfall. Keeps debris out of my pump making the clean outs far less frequent.

Good idea, but better for round pond pumps. Tends to clog rather swiftly. If used, it helps to have let located within reach for servicing. A bit disappointing.

This protects my pump from excessive particulate matter. It slides right on and closed easily and stays on securely. Filter pad that goes around pump is heavy when dirty. Cleans well but it is a process !

The product works fairly well at keeping the debris from the pump and keeping the water flowing. It does take some adjusting to get it positioned just right.
