Review: Moves a lot of air with a caveat - Pros - This fan is quite powerful and I use it every single day, I bought two and both have been going twenty-four seven without issues. - You can control each fan independently, the speed and the direction of air flow. You do not have to remove the fan from the window to change airflow direction - The ability to circulate air, having one fan drawing out hot air and the other pulling in fresh air, is a must feature that is the reason I bought this fan in the first place - It is relatively quiet, I have box fans as well and this is about half the noise level of one of my box fans - The expanding curtains on the side create a nice seal to keep out pests - Moves a lot of air, it cools down a fairly large room here in Florida where the heat and humidity are high - With both fans exhausting outside, it keeps smoke from coming inside through the window Cons - It didn't fit under one window when the window was lifted. I engineered a solution by using a curtain rod across the window opening that passes through the notch in the top of the fan to hold it into place. This places the fan on the inside of the window and I cut a piece of pool noodle to cover the gap at the top between the fan and window. - Sometimes if it is really hot, circulation mode is not powerful enough to overcome the heat, so it requires me to direct both fans to draw out the heat and I place a box fan in the room to create a cross draft. (Not the fault of the fan per say but a limitation) My thoughts are that this is an excellent window fan, for the price it does what I need it to do and does it without major problems. If your rooms get really hot like mine do, then you may need to supplement another type of fan, like a box fan, to get a good flow of air. Objectively this fan works and that is the important thing.

I love the ability to change the airflow direction with just the flip of a switch without removing the unit from the window. It really helps cooling to draw air in when the window is in the shade and exhaust when it's in the sunlight. You can not only set the fan to blow in or out of the window, but can do this with each of the fans on the unit separately. The ability to control each fan independently is cool, though I have yet to experiment to see if this is actually more effective at cooling. It grants the ability to draw cool air in while exhausting hot air at the same time. I feel like to really maximize this, you would need to install a duct from the exhausting fan up to ceiling level to get the hot air that rises and accumulates up there and I am not going to go all out doing that. I am not sure if the split method will be any more effective than just having a dedicated intake fan and a dedicated exhaust fan on different windows, but I will update this review if I find this to be the case. The fans move air as well as any window fan I have ever used. I do need to mention that blowing air out doesn't seem to be as powerful as drawing it in (and by this I mean having the side with the fan's controls facing into the room as one would typically install it), but not so much that I can ding it a star. Overall I am pleased with what appears to be a high quality fan that you can set and forget in a window with excellent controls and airflow. It will definitely be getting a workout in the current 95+ degree heatwave we are having so I will update this review if the fan has longevity issues.

**Q: Can you remove the grill easily to clean it?**
A: No I don’t believe you can remove the grill to clean it

**Q: Does it move a lot of air?**
A: I have this in my bedroom window and have it running 24 hours a day when I don't want to use the central air. It can cool the bedroom down rather quickly and keeps it cool overnight. Reversible to blow out hot air during the day.

**Q: Does this work if mounted vertically? Anyone done it and have pics/experience? Don't just regurgitate what the site already says please.**
A: Yes. I have windows that slide from right to left and it works quite well. Actually I use them in two windows, one to bring in the night air, and one to expel the hot air.

**Q: Will this fan work with windows that slide horizontally?**
A: I'm sure it can. Don't listen to the other answers. In the winter time I would take it out of the window and stand it vertical for a bedroom fan.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well

Durable and helps redirect air when it's hot/humid. Used it to cool off our room. Not too loud. It tips over easily, which was annoying but it made such a huge difference in temps that I won't return it. No regrets.
