It is A/C. It plugs into your wall. It is a way to store low hydrogen electrodes (like 7018) so that they do not create porosity in your welds from separating water molecules during the SMAW process. I am not sure that I understand your question, but I bet I understand the answer.

The 20lb has a rod lifter. The 10lb does not.
