If you've been riding indoors for any length of time, you've undoubtedly toppled over or tipped your bike out of the trainer. CycleOps solved this dilemma by making a Trainer Skewer specifically designed for its trainers to ensure you're always upright. It fits most rear wheels and is shaped so that it seats securely in the rear wheel mount of the trainer. It is available in one size and in the color silver.

Broke in about 5 seconds
Axle sheared immediately upon installation. Having to use a QR which doesn’t fit well, again. Wouldn’t even want a replacement this is so clearly an inferior product I don’t doubt it would happen again.

Overpriced, poor end cap design results in bent skewer rod
It's an ordinary skewer with a longer rod. The conical shaped end cap doesn't fit the Cycleops trainer properly so there's inadequate support, resulting in the inner skewer rod bending at the threaded section. The end cap should be only slightly tapered at most, or barrel shaped, and the diameter should be checked to ensure it fully inserts into the Cycleops trainer support. Otherwise the skewer rod will bend, especially if you're a heavier rider or stand to pedal for interval training sessions. I weigh 155 lbs and managed to bend the skewer.Until Cycleops provides a better skewer design specifically for their trainers, save your money and buy any ordinary quick release skewer for half the price or less, because you'll probably still need to replace it fairly often.

Might fit the trainer but didn’t fit by bike.
Where this fits the cycleops trainer. It did not fit my specialized diverge. Make sure this is a fit for your bike first and your trainer second!Tried to get out of this by going cheap. Ended up buying the one that was specifically for my bike AND my trainer and it worked out great.Make sure you’re buying what you need. Not just the cheapest option.

Improves stability on trainer
Replaced the skewer on my American Classic Aero 420 wheel for use on my CycleOps Fluid 2 trainer. Significantly increased the stability on the trainer and the bike is now rock solid. Definitely a little heavier since the whole thing seems to be made out of steel and is longer than my old skewer, so if you are leaving this on your bike full time and are a weight watcher keep that it mind.

It works but don’t really need it.
Turns out I didn’t need to use it. I bought this for my wife bike to use on the trainer since the one that came with the trainer I put on my bike. Thinking that I want to avoid switching the skewer back and forth between her and mine I decided to get one. Turns out the skewer from the bike fit just fine on the trainer. Bikes are Specialized and Kickr Snap.

Works as described
Used this with my magnetic Ascent indoor trainer and it’s perfect. I even leave it on for road riding as it seems better quality than the skewers that came with my wheels.

Fits securely in my Kickr Snap
After an indoor trainer crash (bike is ok btw, just in case you wondered) I decided to get a skewer that was optimized for indoor use. This skewer's rounded shape fits securely in my Kickr Snap. I live where it is super flat, where skewer weight is not a factor, so I've ditched my branded (starts with a Z) titanium skewer for this one for outdoor use as well (cause I am too lazy to swap them out). Very happy with the purchase and hopefully won't crash during my next Zwift FTP test. Ride on!

Two people two skewers.
Just like the one that came with my CycleOps trainer. You need these steel skewers with steel ends if you want to put your bike in a trainer that holds on via the skewer. The plastic ones will just crumple under the pressure of the trainer closure mechanism. Having a second one removes the stress of swapping skewers between bikes. Both my wife and I use the same trainer so having two skewers makes it easy.

Just what I needed.
Given the turbo trainer but the spindle on my cannondale didn't fit. This did the job perfectly and I guess would for most bikes

Not long enough
While I’m sure the axle itself is fine, it’s not long enough to go through my bike. The dimensions are not helpful. Waste of money.
