Firman Generators SPS2000i Inverter

I should have paid attention to the other negative reviews and not bought this. I unboxed the generator, carefully read the manual, put in the recommended oil, filled the tank with gas, and the generator started right up. It seemed to be running fine, but then I noticed gasoline was literally spraying out the side of it! Thank goodness I'd left the (poorly designed) removable side panel off when filling up the oil, otherwise I probably wouldn't have seen the gasoline spray and it would have just splattered back against the hot engine and caught fire! I think the spray seemed to be coming out of the carburetor, but it doesn't matter because it's going back to Amazon. Oh well, so much for having a generator when Hurricane Irma rolled through two days later and I lost power. Very disappointed, but again, I should have paid more attention to the reviews.

I opened the package and followed all the directions to get this unit started. I was able to get it started on two pulls. It ran, a little noisy, for 30 minutes. At this point I switched the unit to the economy mode. This generator slowed down and within a minute stalled. As I attempted to start it again the recoil handle broke into 4 pieces. I am in the process of returning the generator.

Most of the reviews were bad but my experience was great worked well took on hunting trip and used everyday for a week, did what expected

great piece of ... it wasn't leaking, was pouring gas out from the side of the carburetor, out of the box.Do yourself a favor and stay away from this.

I bought 3 generators and 2 where defective. Its very diffficult to work with Firman Customer Service.

Is a great generator go beyond my expectation I love it, i really want to buy anotherone
