Good brakes
I use a couple of these to slow the drift of a 20’ pontoon boat. It’s impressive how much they slow and control the boat. They really should include the line that pulls the tail in, but these work as advertised.

Bought this for my husband for use with his kayak. He loves it, good value for the money.

Good item
Very well made, good material. I think it would be a bit bulky for use in a smaller craft like a kayak, but OK in our 15 ft boat. Would have been nice if it had come with a dump rope line too. Instructions would also have been useful for us (never used one of these before), but I found some useful videos and instructions online. Overall, though, good price, good item, good company.

Doesn't really work as expected.
Didn't cause pontoon boat to drift with current. Boat kept turning sideways, so boat rolled sideways with waves.

Good for inflatable kayak
I’m using this on a 14’ inflatable kayak, in the wind (10-15) it drops my drift from over 2mph down to around 0.5 mph.

perfect kayak size
Bought for slowing my drifting while kayak fishing inshore waters in BC. Worked perfectly in the probably the worst of conditions I feel safe fishing in. Slows me down and easy enough to pull back in.

Perfect for kayak fishing.
I bought this so I could drift fly fishing from a kayak as I found I was being pushed too fast to keep up on the retrive, it works great, an unexpected bonus was when I let it drag directly from the stern it kept the kayak facing forward in the waves which made casting far easier.
