Closes way to hard. Adjusted screw for adjustment but doesn't work. I used my old piston alls I needed was the bracket to mount it because it broke. Closes fine with my old piston

My storm door was blown off due to a horrible wind storm, I do a lot of work on my house, I didn't want to buy a new storm door, I needed the "hydraulic." I did alot of research and ordered this part. It's defective, when it's installed, the hydraulic doesn't move. I didn't return it, It's not worth my time to deal with Kohl's and a $18 return I bought the same unit from a local store that works properly, I've bought a lot from Amazon, but I'm finding more "defective" items. I'll pay more and buy something that works
