Having the right tool for the job makes changing a cassette so much easier. These work great, feel very durable, and were a good price.

The chain whip and cassette removal tool worked great. I'm a bike rider, not a mechanic, but found these tools worked fine to remove a cassette and install a new one. I'll likely use the tools every couple of years between my two bikes, and expect the tools will work well. However if you are bike mechanic and would be using the chain whip far more often, you might look for one with a more ergonomic grip. But the tools work well for my needs.

First the Chain Whip - the chain pulled out of the handle.Then next the handle bent.Piece of crap.I already wrote a review of the spline tool. Poorly made, I had to file down the splines to make it fit, the I discovered the hex nut was not a hex. the opposing faces were different distance apart - so I had to readjst the crescent wrench to fit if I used different faces.Real pieces of crap.Do yourself a favor - spend a couple of bucks more and buy a REAL tool - Buy PARKS

Used this on a 11 and 12 speed cassette. Its feels flimsy and jenky and the included freehub tools were a little sloppy but worked. If you need to use a chain whip often or have a cassette thats really stuck on there I'd purchase a better quality freehub socket and probably get a better quality whip. For the recreational service it works just fine.

For starters, I didn’t know I needed one of these until my daughter’s rear tire bent all by it self in some mysterious “it wasn’t bent when I put it away” event. The first problem was that the cassette remover was too big. Not like way too big, but big enough that I had to tap it a few times to get it in. And then I had to pry it out. I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that may have been a bike problem as I am unsure of the quality and craftsmanship of the $104 dollar, Walmart special. I can’t even tell you the brand name of the bike because I had never heard of it. I got her a Schwinn helmet though so that makes up for the lack in quality; I’m sure. Next, I tried to remove the cassette and the chain wip bent. It couldn’t take the pressure. And though I would love to believe that it was my overwhelming strength that folded the metal tool; I’m not the guy you go to when the pickle jar won’t open. I’m the guy beating relentlessly at the lid with the butter knife handle until my arm gets tired and no one gets pickles. As for my needs, this worked great because I didn’t plan on starting my own bicycle repair shop or using it more than once, but if you want a tool that will last two times, this isn’t the one for you.

Sockets are the same size on the splined end and with two sockets u have total axle compatibility and wrench options so yur covered , i used with HG type freehub to move my Mircoshift cassette to other rims.
