Sewing for a Royal Baby: 22 Heirloom Patterns for Your Little Prince or Princess

I bought this book because I needed a pattern to make a Christening dress for my 12 month old granddaughter. I was so happy when I found out that the Kindle edition came with the PDF for the patterns and cutting instructions, plus the embroidery files. I made a dress from the book, there was a pattern piece missing, but it was easy to figure out. I love the dress. I kept my tablet besides me while I was sewing and referred to the instructions often. Very handy. Beautiful designs. Great price when you consider the price of patterns and embroidery files! I'm very happy with my purchase.

A beautifully illustrated book. Not for the beginner sewer. All these beautiful clothing ideas are amazing for that special occasion. But I would like to see ideas given for fabric that is practical for children to wear say for regular church services. Fabrics that aren't so expensive or are hard to find because our local stores don't carry the more luxurious fabrics.With that said, it is truly a must for your smocking and fine sewing library.

The Pullen group has done it again. Wonderful book of children's clothes. Unusual format for the patterns, they are on disc and you print them out. Nice in that you can print several copies to cut out and assemble individual sizes instead of tracing them off onto separate paper. The instructions are similar to other Pullen books. Clear enough if you are a moderately experienced seamstress, but not easy if you are a novice.

There were a number of nice things in here, but not as many things as I expected. Book looks nice and cd is nice, too.

I came home last night from a rough day at work and found this in my mailbox. It was a wonderful end to my day. I am planning a christening gown for a favorite nephews new baby due next month. This is definitely a welcome edition to my smocking library. Many thanks for a speedy delivery.

Lovely Book,Beautiful pictures of children's clothing. Nice details of projects for both boys and girls. Often the boys outfits are lacking but, not in this book. Great book for the sewing mother, grandmother, or auntie with time on their hands and have the ability. Wonderful addition to my reference library.

This is a book for those who want to spend hours and hours on a garment, but many of the things in the book are not in any way practical for regular use. I had hoped to make some of these things for my grand daughters for use for special occasions, but there are very few of these garments that I would make for them. One little dress requires the use of a computerized sewing machine so you can use a CD-ROM for cutwork. I do not have a computerized machine. I had hoped for more smocked patterns, but there are not very many. I don't think I took the name of the book literally enough, since the front cover shows a dress that is on a 3-4 yr. old girl. I thought more of the patterns would be for that age. Most are for babies and are VERY involved with very expensive materials. Plan on that before you spend the money for this book. I also found the printing rather small, with lots of words, but not as many pictures of the completed garments as I would have hoped. I much prefer the Australian Smocking and Embroidery books and magazines with their color diagrams and beautiful pictures.

Ladies, this is the book to buy for that Heirloom dress you have always wanted to sew! Sewing for the Royal Baby is a beautiful book filled with wonderful ideas for both girls and boys.Has patterns on a CD that is included with the book.This book won't disappoint!

This book is great. I've used two patterns and am getting ready to start another. The CD is very useful too. I'm very imptessed

Sono i proggetti interessanti e i modelli dei abiti delle famiglie reali con le foto allegate come sono in origginale. Ho realizzato le scarpine per il battesimo. Sono venute molto carine. Peccato che i miei gemelli non le volevano e duravano 30 secondi sui piedi. Certamente non e colpa del libro. I cartamodelli sono in cd. Per il cartacceo bisogna stampare e rispettare la scala. Non e difficile. Unica pecca e questa. Per il resto Consigliato.

Liebevoll gearbeitete Handarbeiten zum Ideenholen und Nachnähen, bei uns findet man kaum mehr solche Handarbeitsbücher. Dafür muß man sich Zeit nehmen.
