SAMSUNG UN50TU8000 50" 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV w/Deco Gear Soundbar Bundle

This bundle came with a lot of stuff, so I’m going to break this review down piece by piece. I suppose a good first place to start is the focal point - the television itself.Samsung UN43TU8000 - This TV is overall great. Super slim, comes packed up standard like any normal TV, and has the “nice” Samsung Remote. The remote is small but has a decent amount of control capabilities and is far more attractive than a standard rectangle remote. The setup process is very streamlined, especially if you are involved with Samsung SmartThings. The OS is a little bit laggy, so boo to that. I’ve found the lag to not be detrimental, but when compared with other smart TVs, it is noticeable and annoying. The TV includes two cable clips, so it certainly helps make your setup look much cleaner from any angle. One really awesome hidden gem not advertised is that this TV actually has an HDMI eARC port, meaning it is future proof for soundbars supporting Dolby Atmos down the road! Overall, pretty happy, just wish the OS was snappier but what can you do.Soundbar - This one is hit or miss. I personally have a Sonos Surround system in a different room, and have had Hi-Fi soundbars for years. I figured this wouldn’t be on par with those, but for me it really missed the mark. I found the HDMI Arc to not work with the TV included, which stunk but oh well. When using Optical, it often cut in and out. The Bluetooth functionality was fine and sounded great, but I have ultimately decided that it isn’t the right for for me.HDMI Cables - They’re cool. Just good old HDMI Cables, nothing too special. They look really nice, and it never hurts to have extras kicking around.Power Adaptor: This hit right on the money for me. My setup consists of the TV, a PS4, Nintendo Switch and LED Strip. My adaptor for the LED is large, blocking one plug but having SIX available was really helpful.TV Mount - I haven’t used the mount personally, since I prefer to just have my TV on an entertainment center, but it seems to be a pretty good one. Came in with no damaged packaging.Shipping Packaging - The bundle is packed together super tight, but all come in one piece. The box to the soundbar was already open at the top, but other than that everything came in one piece and with no damage. Shipping was also super fast, I was really surprised to see such a large package get from NJ to FL in two days.Overall Opinion - I think this was a really incredible bundle, especially at the $400 price tag. If you’re looking for something nice for your bedroom/smaller lounge room, this will be perfect.

purchased after my daughters tv finally (11 years old) stopped taking any input from cable but her x box would still work. having had one that was 5 years old die before they will tell you it is cheaper to buy a new one.this was the bundle that came with the wall mount, sound bar and a multiple electric plug socket. 1st we were not going to wall mount it as the way her bedroom is situated it was easier to place it on the bureau. problem #1 the legs were to far apart and actually they both sit right off the edge of the bureau. back online with Amazon where a tv stand was purchased. once it arrived (2 days) it was assembled and after watching a youtube video the tv was attached. tv was very easy to set up and the only difficulty is we do not know if you can use both the remote it comes with and the cable remote. she is very satisfied with it. problem #2 and it is a big one. the tv was delivered and I was supposed to sign for it. I get an email saying it was delivered. I go my door and it is just sitting there, no one asked for me to sign anything, anyone could have taken it (with help as it is a big box). This is not a one time thing as it seems to be happening more and more with delivered packages.Daughter loves the tv, hers was a 2020 model purchased in January of 2021. this tv has a slightly rounded back. My girlfriends tv finally went so my daughter and I chipped in together and purchased the exact same tv but the 2021 model (tv only) Ordered a separate stand also. the tv comes and after unpacking it and laying on the bed we attached the stand. We noticed that the 2021 has a flat back not slightly rounded as the 2020. One thing that is noticeable right away is that where you would connect the antenna make sure it does not have a knob or extra piece added to the end to help twisting it on as the clearance is so tight it will not fit at all. I have multiple ones at my house and not a single one would fit. the only one that would was a 20 year old cable from my cable company that I still had laying around, any with wings, tabs, a thicker end or even one where a wrench could be used are to thick to use. Just a warning as I did not need to use that connection but if you do good luck finding a plug that will fit.tv is beautiful and the main reason to upgrade was the smart tv function that has the apps she uses

When delivered, it was brought inside by the delivery person, so it is best to be home to ensure there is no theft or loss. No equipment was missing, no damage, all in excellent shape.I have been using this TV for the past 2 months, I love it! The TV has a crystal clear image and brightness illuminates the entire room on its own. I have been using mostly for a gaming system, which is superb when turned on it will turn on your gaming system as well. Has a Samsung option for TV programming, which is not bad at all with a good selection of TV channels and genre. Can connect to cable/Satellite, WiFi, and screencasts with Samsung or Google cast. Lightweight but needs a two-people to hang/setup. No special connections on the back, recall there are 3 HDMI, 1 AV/Projector, and Optical and USB.The voice control, which I use Bixby (Alexa is an option), is amazing good, sets the timer to sleep, and turns it off at the exact time. The controller is of the TV is different a few buttons and touch-sensitive pad with Built-in Netflix and Prime buttons, the volume, and mute knobs are easy to control, channel changing knob as well. The quality of the image is excellent, I really recommend getting this bundle if you want to have all the good stuff at once without much expense.The TV has excellent volume without the JBL bar speaker. The JBL Speaker has a great volume overall, has Bluetooth connection, which I use with my laptop in a different room. Also, 3.5 audio and optical outputs.
