I had a 20 year old leather tufted ottoman that that was dried out and faded. I was considering getting rid of it but thought I’d give this product a try after seeing the positive reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. The picture shows the difference after applying to the right half of the ottoman. The product comes with an applicator, has a pleasant scent, restores the color and softness of the leather and is very easy to use. Excellent product and a great value for the price.

Used this on our leather couches and it made a world of difference. Definitely a must have for leather goods. A little goes a long way so you get a lot for a good price.

I have used this product on shoes, boots and leather goods for years. It cleans and conditions very well.It helps with water resistance.

I had neglected a couple of beautiful leather jackets (Coach and other) so that the interior hadmildew from closet life over COVID and the leathers had dried. I thought I would need to toss them.Instead, I tried two things and they worked (thank you people on Youtube). First, I sprayed the linings of the jackets where the mold was starting with pure cheap vodka. Two applications and airing outside and the mold and stains from it were gone. Next, I rubbed this leather balsam with a tee shirt rag into the leather jacket exteriors. They were tacky to the touch. I hung them up overnight and checked the next day. I waited a week and reapplied. Let hang again. After two weeks, the coats were like new. SOOOO, I tackled all of my leather handbags and boots and hats. Wow. All like new. Love this stuff. Bought another batch to have on hand. Even a 1980 Coach bag looks like new after two applications.

I’ve used obenaufs before, but it significantly darkens lighter leathers. This did darken my wife’s Dr Martens, but not so much to ruin them

I recently bought an inexpensive leather handbag that arrived feeling stiff, dry, and carrying an unusually gamey scent.After watching the product video I carefully tested a small dab - all looked well. It was extremely easy to apply and the video mentioned that with this product, a little goes a long, long way.After thoroughly applying the product slowly all over the leather parts of the bag, the color seemed deeper, the bag had a nice gloss, and the driest parts on the bottom seemed smoother and more supple. No residue, tiny amounts used so great value, and the leather now smells fantastic! Hoping it will help with scratch resistance, too.

First of all it’s my fault for not checking size (they all appeared the same in photos) but this jar is half the size and nearly the same cost as the jar of Voltaire balsam I was replacing. I was willing to try another brand because it had gotten great reviews. It works well & smells nice (very similar to Voltaire & Effax). If only using on smaller items such as leather purses, shoes, etc., this would last a long time & probably be a decent value. But I use this on multiple saddles, bridles, etc and this small jar will be gone in no time. I gave 3 stars not because I’m unhappy with the product but because I don’t think it’s a good value at nearly twice the cost of other comparable brands. Wish I had paid closer attention.

Don't normally write reviews, but hopefully this will help someone! We bought this for our cognac tan pure aniline leather sofa (essentially untreated leather). It was our first time applying a conditioner to the couches, about 4 months after we purchased them.It definitely provided the result we expected - the couches aren't sticky after waiting 24 hours for it to soak in. No need for us to wipe any residue off. It barely darkened the color of the leather, and less than I expected.HOWEVER: it takes so much patience and hand energy to apply, even with the provided sponge - it took me 2.5 hours to do two 80" sofas, and I used almost the entire 6.7 ounce container. I think we will be trying the otterwax oil next time since it looks much easier to apply.Hope this helps someone!
