best canned meat
Nearly didn't buy it on account of the bad reviews. Absolutely 5 stars. How do I know? I'm an elderly blind guy without transportation to the grocery stores, so I gotta buy meat from amazon. Have tried every canned meat from armour star libby's to spam to dak hams, and this ham impresses me the most. As to visual stuff, don't care cause I can't see it anyway. The smell is a little disconcerting as its being heated. Smells like fresh pork at my uncle's hog killing in alabama 55 years ago. It's tender, got flavor, low salt, good consistency. The gelatinus stuff surrounding it is just fat, wipe it off. If you don't want to buy it, that just leaves more for me.

Tastes great
Tastes fine. Just as you'd expect tinned ham to taste. I use it in sandwiches and for a ham pasta sauce . It's great and very handy to keep around

Unusually off-putting
I guess it was what it was supposed to be. Idk, I've never had canned ham before. I've had hundreds-- maybe thousands, of ham sandwiches (I'm pretty old). I've had the official Honey Baked ham. Ham and eggs. Deli-sliced-- Oscar Mayer, Hillshire Farm, Sarah Lee, generic, Kirkland, etc etc. Ham is ham, I figured. But no. This product was not what one would expect from Ham. - Texture: mushy - Appearance: artificially pinkish, with fatty marbling that suggested it had been mechanically macerated and spat out into can-shaped lozenges. Coated in an aspic-like yellowish gel that was too liquid to easily scrape away from the "meat" - Flavor: tasted like ham, but with a metallic undertone. However, the texture was so off-putting that I spat it out before i could evaluate the full flavor-palette. 3/10. Would not recommend.

Good Flavor
For those of us old enough to remember this is basically pressed ham. A type of spam full of flavor and not a bad price. No effort to slice and make sandwiches.

Edible. Not at all outstanding; mediocre at best
Will not purchase again. Tastes bland and dry texture. Imho not a good value.

Can’t hams can’t go bad. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen.
Be careful I received two canned hams one was moldy and gray and stinky. It stunk so bad. I didn’t even take a picture. I ran it out to the garbage can immediately.

Definitely a ham
Great size for adding to ham salad or for just a couple for a ham dinner. Taste was good for being canned.
