Having loved the website and posts by this author, I was super excited to try out the book. Sadly, out of 4 waterfalls we journeyed to, directions to 2 were incorrect! Parking areas were not on the noted sides, and GPS coordinates were incorrect. I wanted to love this book, but sadly, it's inaccuracies made it frustrating.

I am a fan of the website for this author and wanted to buy the book to explore the waterfalls in the state. This book is stunning!

I love the format of this book! Every waterfall has a photo. Not all books do that. It's great that it provides a small map of the state where you can instantly see the general location of each waterfall. Driving and hiking descriptions are very detailed. I have other books listing waterfalls, but this is my favorite! Other authors should use this book as an example when writing any type of guide book. Kudos to Mr. Cheney! I would not hesitate to purchase anything Mr. Cheney writes in the future.

Jim has written a wonderful book for the entire family to enjoy! As a native PA'ian returning to live in the state after two decades spent away, we love this huge collection of waterfalls and how to go see them. He does a great job detailing all aspects of just about every waterfall in the state. My kids loved picking out the waterfalls we'll go see as a family. It has everything you need to plan your trips, including the distance you have to hike to get to the waterfall's base. Highly recommend this book to anyone who loves nature and wants to explore Pennsylvania!Jim also has a wonderful website UncoveringPA which is extremely helpful in finding great stuff to do all over PA.

I love this book. I use it every week. Great pictures of each waterfall but, the BEST part about this book is that Jim Cheney gives you the GPS coordinates to the trail head for each waterfall.This book contains a number of hidden gems that are difficult to find because so few know about them. It is an excellent tool to help you and your family get the most enjoyment possible out of the beauty of Pennsylvania.

New to the area and we discovered some cool waterfalls and have been on some fun adventures because of this book!

This is one of the best purchases I have made in a while! It’s a great reference guide for hiking to see waterfalls! It lets you know length of the hike to the falls, entrance points and places to park (that you wouldn’t necessarily know about otherwise), difficulty level...lots of useful bits of info! It’s always in my hiking backpack!! Highly recommend!!
