Power of Tactics - Vol. 1 - Tactics According to Smyslov

It is just a high priced book of Chess puzzles. According to Smyslov was just a way to get you to buy it as there are many tests of tactics positions from a great many other players not just the games of the aforementioned Chess Champion. There are examples of standard tactics, i.e., the Pin, the double attack and so on. There is just a page or so of mentioning what the particular tactic is and how it works. That type of teaching can be found in many Chess tactic books at a far less cost. 32$'s is a high price for this book so I am regretting buying it but sometimes looking at tactics by players such as Vorobiov- Thybo, Kyhle-Westerberg, Votava-Hiermann, and Umudova-Bosboom who are of course playing in the style of Smyslov, you can learn enough to become a GM!!
