Small but mighty little kite
This thing is small - cute but small. It does fly, though I found it works better to trim about 6-12" off the excessively long tail. I thought it added too much weight so that it's hard to keep the kite up. It never seemed to go too high, but great fun for the kids to run around the backyard with.

It's Tiny, It's Temperamental, It Needs Patience
We bought the Biplane Mini Mylar and this one together. It is simply a piece of printed mylar with a light plastic spine, prestrung with long, thin plastic tails. The mylar for the Baron seems a little thinner than that of the Biplane. The Biplane is a surprisingly stable flyer, but the Red Baron was temperamental, constantly spinning and flipping; in a nutshell, performing just about as we expected a single sheet mini mylar kite to fly. I don't think we ever got it to play out without crashing, but it may just be that we haven't got the hang of it yet. It was still fun to try!A word about the packaging: the instructions say to keep the packaging to protect the mini kite. My recommendation is to keep the interior tray to protect the kite, but discard the outer packaging, which has sticky tabs. One of the tails got pulled off when we tried to remove the kite from the packaging for a second go-round, even though we were very careful. Will be fixing the Baron's tail with some Scotch double-stick and possibly reinforcing with clear packing tape. Wish us luck!7/20/14 UPDATE: After reattaching the ribbon tail with double stick tape, we also (on the unprinted side of the mylar) added a strip of clear packing tape across the kite's tail section (to help reinforce where the ribbon tails are attached), one across the wings, and another down the spine, trimming off excess tape by carefully cutting along the edge of the mylar with an X-Acto knife. The kite has really stabilized well. It still dips and spins in heavy wind, and occasionally goes nose first into the grass, but otherwise it hovers beautifully. We've been flying it almost every chance we get.
