After putting up with leaky taps which were hard to stop and difficult to turn, I was so pleased with these replacement taps and top covers, which I fitted in less than 15 minutes. They operate well and are easy to operate and look good.In addition, I have used replacement taps and top covers before, but had to refit the existing top covers, because my main tap bodies angle upwards and this meant that the top covers were too long to fit without fouling the main tap body. These ones are neat, compact and fit perfectly. Well worth the price. Job done.

Easy to install (re-grind the bed of the valve first!) and they come with a locking washer... that doesn't lock. If fact, it seems to act more as a spring to help undo the handle.The cover cap on the hot tap won't stay on either; it keeps coming off in my hand when I turn the tap.Their profile is very smooth so it's hard to turn them on/off if you have any grease on your hands.On the plus side, the handles are metal, so they won't crack like the cheap plastic 'crystal' tap handles they replaced.

Used these on basin taps. First Class. Very quiet water flow UNLIKE the ceramic valves that were replaced

These are fantastic value. My old tap heads were round and very difficult to turn with old hands that were wet. On top of this they would constantly drip unless turned off with some force. These new fittings appeared to be old fashioned 'standard' and I hoped that the screw threads would match. The biggest difficulty with most taps is removing the heads, especially if they have been in place for many years. This was not a problem for me because I was having to replace washers every year. With basic DIY tools, I was able to replace both taps within half an hour and now have two drip free taps that are easily gripped by old hands. My only regret is that I should have done this many years ago!
