## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a solid value
*by T***N on May 13, 2022*

Overall I really like the stove. It is definitely worth the money. Assembly was easy. The holes on the legs line up perfectly as long as you have the legs on the inside of the stove frame. The stove frame that I received had a pretty obvious twist to it, but the frame is lightweight and was easily tweaked into flatness, making it sit well on my table without rocking. The burners are cast aluminum and quite large. The flame is easily regulated from a slow simmer to a roaring boil. The air mixture control is different than most stoves that use this style of burner. It's a spring tensioned bolt you screw in and out underneath on the burner inlet, but it works well enough. You'll have a hard time with smaller pots on this stove. Anything smaller than about 7" wants to fall through the grate and the burners are also too big for a small pot. My 6" saucepan, which I like to use a lot is a no-go. As large as these burners are, the bigger the cookware the better, but they are placed too close together to get two large pans side by side and centered over the flame. It would have been nice if they'd made the stove frame a bit wider and placed the burners an inch or two farther apart. The hose comes off on the right side of the stove, which for me in my setup is a problem. Looking at the stove you'd think it would be an easy thing to unscrew the valve assembly from the burners, flip it and screw it back on, making the hose come off the left side, which I tried to do. I couldn't get the screws to budge. They've got them in there with some super strong Loctite, over-torqued the snot out of them, or used some other means to make them very difficult to loosen. I gave up for fear of damaging the burner, and had to buy a longer hose than the one I'd been using on my previous stove, the hose now wraps around the back of the stove and is a much less satisfactory solution than if I'd been able to have the hose come off the left side. The Manufacturer should include a hose with the stove. No doubt in my case it would have almost certainly been too short, but seriously, you shouldn't have to buy an extra component to make a product usable, even if it adds a bit to the price. There is no spark lighter to get the burners lit, which is fine. The burners are mounted a good ways down below the grate so at first I was reaching down in and I was getting my hand blasted with flame while trying to flick sparks into the gas stream, which I never had a problem with when using my old stove. I've since found it best to reach under the stove and light it from underneath which there is plenty of room to do and keeps your hand safely out of the blast zone. Every new piece of kit comes with a learning curve.I like this style of burner because they don't clog up nearly as bad as the stamped steel burners that erroneously claim to be clog free. I've been using a Camp Chef stove for several years which sees quite a lot of hard use, uses this same size and style of burner and never had a single orifice clog up. I think they'd be easy to clean out if they did get a clog. My Texsport stove on the other hand, with the stamped steel style burners clogged up to the point that it became unusable and there is no easy way to fix that. I'm not saying the Texsport is bad, I got my money's worth out of that stove, and then some, but I've come to prefer this style of burner. The only knock I would give to these burners is that they are quite large and a two or three burner stove would greatly benefit from having one smaller burner.I like that there is no hard-to-access pan below the burners to catch grease and grime like you have with a Camp Chef. Clean up with this stove couldn't be easier. Wipe down the stove frame and wipe off the table the stove sits on and you're done.Overall, even though I have a few issues with this stove I'm satisfied with it's performance so far and consider it to be very much worth the money spent. It definitely earned the five stars.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great purchase for what it is
*by M***. on August 8, 2022*

This is a basic yet powerful gas stover burner. The steel frame is light - it’s not cast iron but I like that. The paint will peel over time, so I plan to keep it clean and oiled to prevent rust.I attached it to a ceramic tile so I can lay it on a plastic fold table without heat danger to the table. The knobs stick out quite aways and that matters for van conversion to a camper with a kitchen. I wish the pan holders on the rig were longer so smaller dais pans didn’t slip into the middle and tip.The knobs are also very easy to turn which is a safety concern since you can be too high when lighting. If the manufacturer wanted suggestions I’d recommend one update and two accessories:1) have the option of using one of two gas connectors either side of the front pipe instead of just the existing one on right. Or have the connection centered at back - but not sticking out where it interferes with tight installation space.2) a snap-on heat proof base accessory3) wind shield / splatter shield accessory

This is a fairly heavy duty camp stove; especially the burners. Flames hold well and the range of heat is great. You can use a really low setting (wind permitting...no wind guards) to keep stuff warm. Two big (12 inch) pans won't center, but one and a 9 inch pot works well. A cast iron 10 inch skillet and a 12 inch kettle fit with a 1/4 inch gap between the, Pretty well made for the price. Using smaller sauté pans or pots (8 inch) is a hassle as they don't quite fit the angle irons and slip Another "cross set" would do well to rectify that problem (hence the one star off). Made for a base camp setup because they are cast iron; therefore heavy. Doesn't come with a regulator, and really needs the adjustable type. I got the 10PSI type, and that seems sufficient. Although it indicates "adjustable" legs; you're limited to about 3/16 adjustment (it's a slot in the leg that you can make one or more legs lower than the other) per leg. We use a cookie sheet under it to catch spills. Pretty decent unit, and I expect years of use out of it. They also make a 3 burner one which might be preferable for a large group camp (or you are a camping "chef" who wants to cook bacon, eggs, and cowboy fries all at once). All in all, I'd buy another; perhaps the triple burner for cooking the side dishes in the back yard while I grill. Quality equipment overall.
