Levi's Men's 527 Slim Bootcut Jeans

I bought the Men’s 527 slim Boot cut jeans for my son for Christmas. He loves them. He said they fit nicely and are so comfortable on. They wash nicely. I glad give the vendor of the Levi jeans a five star review. They also arrived very quickly. Thank you, Ellen Hinds

Height 6' 1" Weight 199 I always order two sizes of jeans, a 30x34 and a 30x32, the reason being that one is for my cowboy boots, and the other is for my shoes. Recently, I ordered a 30x32 in the 527, and it fit well, but since winter is coming on, I decided to order a 31x32 so I could tuck in both an undershirt and a button-down shirt, making it more comfortable. The jeans arrived overnight in a clear plastic bag. It should have been in a shipping bag, but there was no damage, so no harm was done. The jeans fit, and I was able to tuck in both my undershirt and regular shirt with no problems. If I were wearing an untucked shirt, I would definitely want the 30" waist, but since Levi's offers odd waist sizes, this works perfectly, getting an extra inch for winter wear. 30" would have been too tight with added layers, and 32" would have been too loose. Thank you, Levi's, for offering odd waist sizes. The fit and finish are great, and the length is actually correct. ( I have received in the past jeans that were 1" shorter than listed, which looks goofy.)

these fit me very well being tall and skinny. I wish they came in a length of 38. also they seem to have alot of variation to fit

By carefully reading the fabric content, verifying body measurements and precise description of each of the colors available, I am always able to avoid the complaints found in reviews by returning customers to Levi’s jeans: “THOSE MAJOR COMPLAINTS ARE MY JEANS STRETCH TOO MUCH, TOO LITTLE, THE FABRIC IS NOT AS TOUGH AS MY “OLD LEVI’S” WERE, THE FABRIC IS TOO THIN, EVERYTHING IS JUST CHEAP THESE DAYS AND I CAN’T GET MY STYLE ANYMORE....” Customers and Customer Service Representatives need to know the product they are selling and should be able to discuss it with the customer as if they made it or wear it themselves....They should be able to verify every measurement on that piece of Levi’s clothing (or any for that matter) as if they hang the garment in front of them and a tape measure at hand to make the associated measurements as the customer asked for them. Regarding fabrics, the customer reps should be familiar about fabric construction, enough to know that 100% cotton with one kind of weave technique for the denim is an entirely different than using a polyester cotton blend with spandex added for a close fit that will not stretch out of shape and slip down off your hips. Because most people are not familiar with fabric and fit anymore, customer representatives for the clothing industry must be the professionals with this knowledge and be the stylists and fitters for their customers. Many companies in the clothing industry could take lessons from the small J peters and company whose products concentrate on men’s and women’s clothing; when you called their staff for assistance on fit although the rep mean I have a piece of that clothing right in front of them they are able to call the warehouse and get exactly which measurements as well as any additional information you require. Very antiquated courses of home economics that the schools have done away with help now again become very relevant in our online communities. I knowledge of garment sewing and fabric Would greatly assist many customer representatives on the receiving end of those chat calls and telephone calls from customers as would the classes in cooking or wood shop or metal shop.

It's hard to accurately assess this item because the product comes up as two different "names" on Amazon. In the past, my purchases have been for "Levi's Mens 527 Bootcut Jeans." Now, that same product link takes me to "Levi's Mens 527 Slim Bootcut Jeans." (Note the subtle addition of "Slim.") Numerous reviewers have noted this issue. My first three or four pairs were great! No issues. Five stars! They're - by far - my favorite type of jean. Since discovering the 527 line, I've become a Levi boy through-and-through. The jeans have a flattering fit, they're very durable, and they come in a variety of colors and styles. I have yet to find any jeans to beat them. That said... when I went to order more (January of 2013), I noticed the product's name changed. Even if I click the item straight from my past purchases (which has no note of "Slim"), it took me to "slim" 527s. Reviewing the jeans in my closet, I can find no note of "slim." However, there's very little note of anything on them - other than "Levi 527." Assuming that Amazon wouldn't simply change the product name, I went ahead and ordered two more. The pairs that I ordered seem noticeably smaller. I vaguely remember past pairs starting off "snug" before being broken in. After some stretching and washing, they eventually end up fitting perfectly! However, these new pairs seem much smaller than I remember (a.k.a. "borderline uncomfortable"). I'm giving them a shot to see how they shape up, but I'm pretty convinced they really *are* a different type from the first - hence the new addition of "Slim." Why it suddenly changed? I have no idea... The most recent order (the "Slims") also have no note of "Slim" on the actual product's tags, etc... Thus, it makes it impossible to know if they're any different from the past ones I've ordered. With clothing, there are so many factors. (e.g. In what country was this specific pair produced? Could it be a bad batch? Have a grown/shrunk? Etc.. etc...) Long story short... To my knowledge, I know and love "Levi's Mens 527 Bootcut Jeans." They get my five-star. I think there are some new slim ones running around. The slim ones may now be all that you can technically order via Amazon, because I presently see no other options for the "regular" ones. Stay tuned... =]

These Levi’s 527 jeans are comfortable right from the start and have a good overall fit. The slim bootcut style works well if you want something that isn’t too tight but still has a cleaner look through the legs. The denim feels like the typical Levi’s quality I’m used to — not too stiff, not too thin, and something that should break in nicely over time. I’ve always worn Levi’s, so the sizing and feel were familiar, and these fit exactly the way I expected. They sit well at the waist, the length is accurate, and the slight bootcut gives enough room for different types of shoes without looking baggy. They’re just a solid, dependable pair of jeans that work for everyday wear. I always recommend Levis to our friends! (I only take pictures if I think I can take better product pictures than the ones in the ad, or different types of pictures than what the other reviews before me have posted.)
