Really great bar soap, the patchouli and lime smells amazing and is good on my skin

So, there are some ups and downs here but the downs are really what you should expect when you buy natural/organic soaps.Firstly, being made almost entirely from saponified fats (this is a long and complicated bracket - fats are turned into soap and alcohol by action of heat in the presence of aqueous alkali, making them effective cleansers and able to foam... you could do this yourself at home quite easily) these soaps will leave a pretty grotty residue on the sides of your bath (if you've ever used African black soap you will know what I mean). Unlike other soaps which will mix with water more easily, sap fat soaps will cause a scum on the surface of the water which will attract skin cells and the like, forming a crust around the water line. Unless you want to clean your bath more often - only use these in the shower to avoid the scum building up or rinse thoroughly!The second thing to consider is that for the same reason as above, these soaps direly need to be kept dry when not in use. If you leave them in a damp shower bowl they will not last half as long as a bar of standard anti-bacterial soap.Aside from that, I have little else to say. Being from Canada, I don't think the lavender smell is quite as strong as true English lavender or even French but the smell is evident and very pleasant. There is also a minimal amount of texture to the soap so when used directly on the body they have a mild exfoliating effect. These bars foam extremely well for what they are.7.5/10.

Bought for husband to try as he was unable to find his usual brand. Not quite the same lemongrass smell as he wanted but looks good quality and scent is not unpleasant.

The Crate 61 Natural Soap range is one of my favourites! I bought the pack of 3 Lavender Soaps as I had not tried them before and the fact that I adore the smell of lavender!These soaps generate a rich creamy lather (characteristic of the Crate 61 range) and have a mild and refreshing lavender scent. I use these soaps as they are ideal for my sensitive skin. They are suitable for my family and I would highly recommend them.

Smells great and lasts a reasonable time. Don't fall apart like some others i've tried.

Before reading this, you should know im not vegan, I purchased this product to help eliminate some one use plastic from the household.I am disappointed with these soaps, the scent is undetectable. Either they've sat on a shelf too long or this is just how they are. The ethical nature of the packaging would certainly let them breath, which is why I wondered if they'd sat in storage too long.The positive, it lathers really well and leaves the skin squeaky clean and comes in easily recycled cardboard. Overall a good quality soap.I can't recommend these soaps for the scent but can for the effectiveness, lathering and packaging. I won't buy again though.

The healing herbs, chamomile and calendula, caught my eye. Reasonable price for three bars. This soap is superb: smells sweetly herbal, lathers very easily, and rinses clean better than my other baby/sensitive skin soaps! I have very touchy skin, and couldn't use soap on my face for years. Now that some companies are being more careful and thoughtful, using old traditional recipes with simple and natural ingredients, I am becoming a bar soap collector! This is a dream at bedtime. Just wash, rinse, and go. I still use rosewater and various moisturizers most of the time, but I love the simplicity and soft lather of this soap! Waiting for the Mango Tango to come back in stock!

This is a great natural charcoal soap. It is basically unscented, so would not recommend for anyone looking for a scented soap.Overall, I'm satisfied with this product:- lathers richly and rinses well- mildly exfoliates without drying the skin- good for face and body- all natural ingredients- as long-lasting as any normal soap bar (assuming it is dried thoroughly after each use)
