*Update: The seller reached out to me and replaced the strips that were bad. It appears there was a bad production lot and they have resolved this issue(see reply to comment below). It is great when a seller stands by their product and makes things right! For that I am updating my review to 5 stars. These led strips are great, so if they have resolved the quality issue I highly recommend them!Already with less than a few weeks of use I have several leds on one of the strips I bought go bad and messes up all the downstream data. It is more than one and pulling these off a wall to extract and replace on led from within the plastic housing is a pain. Poor quality.

I bought these to make my own 3D printer icicle lights. I am cutting 5 LED's out at a time. After every 10 LED's or so there is a solder joint from the factory where it was soldered together?! I have to waste the first LED so that my cut points aren't at the solder join to make for a good clean cut to solder wires to.The LED is bright, I am using a microcontroller to operate them and they work perfectly. Other than the extra solder joints on the set I am quite happy with this purchase.Because they are going inside 3D Printed clear tubes I did not test the adhesive, I used glue instead.

These are most certainly WS2812B LEDs. They work correctly and work with other strings of LEDs that I have purchased. However these strings are little bit harder to work with than other LED strips I have purchased in the past. Specifically the copper solder pads are much smaller than some other strips I have worked with. This makes it difficult to solder wires to the contact pads, as well as limits what gauge wire you can use. These strips are also missing the reverse copper pads which makes it harder to solder the strips end to end directly.If there were no other options available and price was my only concern I would purchase these again, however the amount of time I have spent fiddling with these could easily justify the higher price of other strips.The two pictures attached show the difference in size of the solder pads (this product is on the left in both pictures) compared to another version of the product I have purchased.

Nice strip light. Comes with connectors on both ends and mating connectors to plug it. About 6 silicone clips with screws are included, but if you're not using adhesive, you'll need more to keep the strip from sagging. While the strip is waterproof and the ends are sealed, the connectors themselves are not, so you may want to use heat shrink or something on them.What wasn't immediately clear when I bought it is that you can't just chain two strips together and expect the second strip to work. With all LEDs on, the voltage drop across the first strip is too great. If you plan on chaining strips, you'll need supplemental wiring to avoid too much drop. I ran flat speaker wire behind the strip to carry +5v and ground. The supplied connectors are nice because they provide wires for power in addition to just the connectors, so added extra power isn't too hard.

Terrible quality control. I ordered 5 reels total, a single reel, and a pair of two packs. The single reel is the only one that I consider works correctly.The picture shows one error, that affected two of the reels in the two packs, as can be seen the colors are off. in video terms, the blue is not bright enough, so any color that includes blue looks wrong. Those two strips are being sent the same color, it's a very pale yellow, and as can be seen the yellow is much stronger on the left reel (bad) by comparison with the other that's actually showing the true color I was expecting.This means that any display that uses all these reels will look really bad as the color changes part way down the display.The other two pack was in far worse condition. One of the reels wasn't even the correct product, it was the 60 led / meter, not the 30 led / meter that I had ordered. And neither end of that reel has a connector attached or the waterproof cap to maintain the IP67 water resistance. And as for the last reel, it looks like someone had returned it already. The input wiring was modified, with the JST connector missing, but I was able to recover by soldering on a JST pigtail. I shouldn't have wasted my time, the strip was completely dysfunctional. No matter what data I sent to it, the first few leds showed full brightness white, and the rest refused to light up at all.TL;DR I advise not buying Alitove products in future. I've already ordered a full set of replacement reels from another manufacturer that seems to be getting decent reviews on other web sites.

These are a set of water proof programmable lights that I got to test out programs for Christmas. So far I have had zero issues with the lights. They are bright. They respond to the programming well. They are color changing and seem to be true RBG lights. Overall good option for the cost.

These are working great with my WLED controller. Colors are very vibrant and bright and the effects are fantastic.

This LED strip works great with the ALITOVE mini LED controller, sold separately. I used it with a 5V 2.5 AMPs and also tested with a 5V 6 AMPs power supply. The LED strip can be set to high brightness for outdoors applications or dimmed for indoors. It looks and feels well made.Overall this is an excellent LED strip. A most have if you also bought the mini LED controller.ALITOVE customer service is also great as they stand behind their products. Thanks guys!

The media could not be loaded. I bought this and got a 5v 10A power supply to power it. I needed a 3.6ft portion and cut it as recommended. Connected it to test and it doesn't work. Thought it was my power supply or female barrel connector but they worked fine elsewhere. Tried it on the remaining longer strip, still not working. Bought a new power supply, still not working.
