Can i use this on metal set screws going into a plastic housing??

No, this is for metal-to-metal applications. Loctite 425 is recommended for plastic-to-plastic and plastic-to-metal applications.

Is this product ideal for locking my camera strap screw in place?

Yes, I'm using blue Loctite for a BlackRapid strap in a DSLR tripod screw hole. I've also used it for securing Arca-Swiss tripod plates to camera bodies.

Is this good for Conceal Carry holster screws?

To tell you the truth, I don't have any issues with my Conceal Carry holster screws coming loose. But if I did, Loctite 242 is the first place I would go because the idea of losing all of the screws in my Conceal Carry holster is unconscionable.

Does it interfere when using a torque wench?

I always heat up the hardware with a heat gun. This softens the bonding, reducing strain of removals.
