we have been popping batteries like no tomorrow
This is a review of the PowerA Charging Stand (Black) for Xbox One.Summary – Since we purchased our Xbox One, we have been popping batteries like no tomorrow. I even decided to swap out to Energize Lithium in hopes it would curb the appetite of the controller. The lithium batteries did provide a longer duration of gaming, however, was expensive and not something I intended to continue. This is working AMAZINGLY well! While there was not much documentation, I have found a full charge can take approx. 2.2 hours. The battery it uses is a Ni-Mh 2.4V and is 1100maH. Our use of this will pay for the device in no time.I was also very happy when it arrived as it only weighs .6lbs and NOT 250lbs as listed in the product dimensions on the listing. While the reviews were up and down, we have not had any issues so far. We place the controller on top of the unit, press down and when the light turns to red-orange, we know it is charging. When it is green, it is fully charged and we simply push it down so it pops up and no longer charges. We have never found a dead battery when we went to use and this has been 100% reliable since we purchased.Notes – Does not come with a wall adapter. You will need to connect this to a micro USB power source. While typical pc-device USB ports will work, it would be much slower and I have mine connected to a typical 2 amp phone USB wall charger with excellent results. As with all my reviews, I will update this review should this develop any issues with ongoing use.

Perfect Charge Station with one Reservation
Everything works well. It charges well. The battery fits well. The battery cover on the controller does too. The ONLY small design change I would make is to change the nook in which the controller sits on to include some lock-in feature. What I mean is, right now, you are placing the controller with the exposed back onto the dock and letting it freely set on the dock until the battery and the charger prongs on the station meet and subsequently charge. If the nook were a little bit wider such that the controller sit more flush to the dock, one would be able to quickly place the controller onto the dock and walk away. Right now, at times, you would have to do a little bit of a balancing act to make it sit perfectly into position to allow the charge to take place, which is sometimes annoying as the lazy person I am who wants to just quickly set it on and go about my day complaining about other minor inconveniences. Again, perfect charge station otherwise and for the price, it cannot be beaten.

Great Buy! Don't Waste Money on the More Expensive Charger!
The media could not be loaded. Congratulations! You just got an Xbox One Elite Controller. Finally! Uh-oh. You don't want to use batteries all the time, and the charger for this guy is 2/3rds the price of the controller itself? Wasn't that a little expensive already? I can relate!Well, I've got good news for you. I can definitely confirm that this charging stand works for the Xbox One Elite Controller! With some modifications.I have a dual Nyko charging stand for the standard controllers, and clipping the plastic pieces off the back of that slip-off battery case on the back won't work as the battery enclosure piece is actually a different shape on the Xbox One Elite Controller. There are 3 small plastic clips on the back of the plastic battery enclosure piece. You need to clip off the two side pieces. A lot of people have said to "shave" this part off somehow (like with a knife). I didn't do that. I used nail clippers instead, and it was perfect. First, you bite off the pieces you can see from the front, and they you trim some of the part behind the enclosure. You'll only get one try, so be careful! Once you do it, this enclosure snaps in like a charm! A microUSB cable is provided, however there is no wall adapter. That's okay though, you can plug into your Xbox on the side or back or use an existing USB Wall Plug Adapter. Any should work. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star review is because the charge stand is a little awkward. The connector on the back of the controller takes a little bit to be set on the charger right every single time, and it also has to be "clicked in" -- or pressed down to click and charge. The LED light glows a dim red when charging and becomes a dim green when fully charged. Adding a quick video in adjacent to my review so you can see what I'm talking about. Overall an excellent buy. Certified by Xbox. About $60 cheaper than the other guy. Battery lasts a long time! Thanks!

Works well.
This stand is pretty awesome. Easy to setup, looks pretty nice from a far, and so far hasn't had any issues. Se complaints though: it's made of plastic and feels as such when pulling it out of the box, for some reason I thought it would have been made with a little more quality to it. And I will say that sometimes I have some issues with getting the controller to charge but that is very seldom that happens. For the price and the fact that it comes with a battery pack you can't beat it.

Worst warranty support I have ever experienced!
I bought two of these for my son and both failed after a few months. I contacted warranty support and they replied that they would send replacements. After waiting a month and a half and sending several follow up emails I finally received one replacement yesterday. So today I just sent another email asking why they only sent me one. I will update my review if and when I get a response. For now I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a charging stand. These things seem to be poorly made and the warranty support is abysmal.Update: It has been another 6 weeks and still have not received a replacement for my second unit. So I sent another follow up email - still waiting to hear back. To top the cake, in the meantime the first warranty replacement has already failed. I’m sorry but these things are garbage.
