I bought 2 of these and have had experience with Old Timer cutlery. Very pleased with my purchase. Gave one to my brother so we had something the same together. Was a bit disappointed in the sharpness of the blades, but nothing I couldn't address myself. Edges were rather rough too. Knife is good quality and was surprised to find Old Timer still in business. Lifetime warranty is great too and this is handy to have in my pocket for when I don't carry a sheath. Built VERY well and is a very nice pocket knife.

I love how the bone handle feels solid and has a surface that grips well especially when you have wet hands.The blade is a bit stiff to open but I think this is good since it will loosen up a bit over time.You can’t go wrong with one of these in your pocket. I would recommend getting one of these for the men and young men in your family.

I've owned Old Timers at various periods of my life and have always liked them, but I did notice the spring steel on this one is very stiff making it difficult to open. In fact, I've only been able to open two of the 3 blades. The smallest I just cannot get open due to the extremely stiff spring-steel. It starts to open, but thumb nail isn't strong enough to overcome the resistance. If I can get it open, I'll leave it partially open a while to see if it relaxes a little.Other than this, I like the look, feel and quality of the knife.

When the product arrived, I open the package and pulled out a box which displayed the product very nicely so if it’s for a gift it’s perfect! I got this for my father for Christmas because he wanted a small knife that would fit wonderfully and his pants pocket. It is not too small and it is not too big to fit in your pocket It’s perfect! I searched out a lot of different knifes. Trying to find the perfect one for my dad. It is beautiful bone handle, three blade knife. I wanted to keep it for myself. I liked it so much. My dad loved it and that made me happy. I know it’s something he will treasure and carry with him all the time in his pocket forever oruntil he loses it. Lol no hopefully he won’t lose this one. It’s a gem!

I've been looking for a good value slip-joint pocket knife for a while. I tried a rough rider and found it mostly surface polish without quality steel. Roper was next, and where it had good steel and was a very strong built knife, but the finish quality was lacking and the blades were impractically thick. This Old Timer 340TB has hit a sweet spot, with good craftsmanship and design with a quality finish without being gaudy and tasteless. The steel is excellent. 9CR18MOV has long been my favorite Chinese steel, providing good edge retention and sharpness, while being relatively easy to sharpen. In my opinion, this knife is as good or better than the original, and a tribute to the Schrade Old Timer brand.
