Gamehide Flatland Deer Hunting Parka

Overall a very good buy. It is very comfortable and and very quiet when hunting. Not the warmest jacket I have but it is so large it is very easy to layer. Normally I wear a 3x but since they were sold out I decided to try a 2x since most reviews said to size down anyway and it was still large enough for me to wear a sweatshirt and a sweat jacket under with no problem...anyone buying definitely size down. The pockets are large enough to hold stuff without worrying much about it falling out...the chest pocket though in my opinion is much to small for practical use...needs to be deeper at least to fit a phone or something in...I found no real use for it yet except my earplugs.Overall though a very nice jacket and a good buy.

Very nice quality jacket. It does run fairly big (which I’m not complaining). I ordered a 3X but could have gotten a 1X. Have bought 3 for my family. Comfortable and warm.

Seems warm enough with the exception of no drawstring at bottom or around waist to draw it tight. Probably will use a belt or something like that.Lighter weight so comfortable enough while driving (3 in 1 parka is too heavy for this).Plenty bright for visibility.Normally wear between XL and XXL, depending on layering and full gut. Bought XXL to allow layering for riding motorcycles. A little bigger than my XXL Columbia parka. Plenty of room for layering.Nice size pockets.Nice Velcro and elastic closures at wrist. Allows taking off without undoing Velcro the adjustments.Don't give 5 stars, but about the only negative (for the price) is not being able to tighten up the bottom.

I have used this for 3 hunting seasons now in northern Wisconsin. It has held up great, even after going through the wash machine. It isn’t extremely warm on days 15 degrees or less. So I make sure to have many layers underneath. I got the large size and has plenty of room under to wear a sweatshirt and a zip hoody without being too bulky on its own. I’m around 175 pounds and an inch less than 6’.

Nice and lightweight this waterproof parka does a good job with keeping the cold out and body heat in. Plenty of room to layer up for the coldest weather, too. Sitting for hours in 10 degree weather and never got cold. One complaint is Velcro on the hood, which is not a deal breaker. The flap with the hooked side of the Velcro tends to fold inward and stick to the inside of the hood, so if you need to put on your hood you have to reach up and unlatch it. Can't be done stealthily. Perhaps the Velcro positions should be sewn on in reverse to prevent that. Overall great gear though!

I had to replace my old hunting jacket and tried this one. Extremely quiet and really keeps the cold out. I’m 5’7 and weigh 175 pounds, so I ordered the large. It fits really well with no restrictions and plenty of pocket room for stuff.

It was exactly what was advertised. Great quality and my husband loves it.
