Buy it. No regrets.
Excellent charger, running nonstop for a very long time now. Life saver when charging bigger batteries. Would buy again, have gifted to another person as well and would do so again.

No more extended waiting!
With purchase of two 4Ah 20V batteries recently, after depleting and charging on old style charger, the charging time took more than 8 hours. Same battery and conditions with new charger took less than 2.5 hours. This greatly increases tool usage time by lessening recharge waiting time. Extra batteries help, but this rapid charger is a game changer. Seems well made, only time will tell about longevity. We'll pleased.

Much better than the original charger
This charger is much better than the little charger that came with my string trimmer/blower combo because it charges really fast, the batteries fit very securely in the charger, but most important, you can leave a battery in the charger, and it automatically switches to "maintenance" mode so it doesn't cook the battery by over-charging it. That one feature alone makes getting this charger worthwhile, in my opinion. It is so easy to forget a battery on the charger, and I think I damaged one of my original batteries by leaving it charging on the old charger overnight. I noticed the capacity of that battery was significantly reduced after that episode.

1st one did not last long but will see if 2nd does. Awesome charger when it works. Black & Decker was very helpful though.
I have only had this charger for a little less than 6 months and quit working. Great charger when it was working though. It is flashing red meaning the battery is bad but since both batteries still work and one is only a few months old, I knew it was the charger. The little charger that came with the blower did the same thing a short time after buying it. So I bought a new battery and this big charger. When I got the new battery in I tested it on the old charger and it still blinked red so I plugged the old battery into the new charger and charged right up and so did the new battery. Just because the picture on the charger claims its a bad battery does not mean thats whats bad. It certainly can be the charger is bad. I do want to say that Black and Decker shipped me another one right out to w/o charge. That is really impressive. Hopefully it was just a bad one. Thank you Black and Decker for standing behind your product.
