Although I am happy with the quality of the product I am not thoroughly impressed with it to recommend it to anyone.Two reasons:A:I paid a bit more than the other French press sellers assuming the quality would be a notch above average. Others were available at $15 cheaper. The beaker does not sit perfectly straight in the steel housing and tilts a bit on my kitchen counter thereby making it look cheaply made. Steel joints show marks of welding and fusion. Was expecting a truly finished polished product.B: Should have been a better design with the strainer filter for easy cleaning. Captures coffee grains and then didn't let go under hot water and extensive washing.Nonetheless, it gets the job done as a French press however this will not be the one I will use for entertaining my guests.

I ordered this French Press as an alternative to buying coffee everyday on the go. Due to the fact that I had never used a press before, I was a little anxious that it was going to be a PIA but I couldn't have been more wrong. The process is pretty easy and my biggest dilemma has been finding the right coffee, there are "only" 50 choices at the coffee shop near me....Cleanup is pretty easy and it stores away in the cabinet or looks great on the counter. You need, repeat - need, to be very careful with the glass cylinder. Which brings me to my rating of only 4 stars. As I was making coffee the other day, I glanced the side of the cylinder and tipped it over, cracking it beyond repair. Totally my fault but I was surprised that it had broken so easily - BE GENTLE. I tried to contact the manufacturer through both their website and "info@" email with no response. I would prefer to replace the glass instead of purchasing an entire press as it would be a waste of the press and cylinder holder. I will reorder of need be though - tired of spending $ on store coffee! Enjoy!

I found the overall quality to very nice. This French Press is all glass and steel with no plastic parts what so ever. I really like how the design of the handle makes it easy to pour. I've been making coffee via French press for years and this one is worth it.Pro tip to anyone new to French press coffee making. Here is the secret to making perfect coffee.Fill the French press with cold water up to the bottom of the spout, and pour it into the kettle. Add 2/3rds cup of course ground coffee into the empty press and wait for the water to boil. Once you reach boiling, take the kettle off the burner for a few seconds until it stops shooting out steam and pour the hot water over the coffee grounds. Make sure to swirl it around a bit to get all the grounds wet. The most important part for the best tasting results is to let it sit for about five minutes before you press down the plunger. Then pour a big cup and enjoy, it will be worth the wait.

Started leaking less than one month after I got it, and then I noticed that there was a crack in the glass underneath the metal bottom. I've been extremely gentle and careful with it, so it must be very fragile or maybe caused by the hot water (do they expect people to make lukewarm coffee?). I complained to the seller and got no response or refund.

Beautifully Modern Sovrano French Press. Something you don't mind keeping on the counter like a piece of modern art. This well built french press has a clean sleek stainless look. No plastic used here. The stay cool handle makes it easy to pour. The glass seems to be a good quality thick glass. We bought a cork trivet to use under it to prevent extreme heat differences from the carafe and the counter. The fine mesh screen filters do a great job of filtering grounds. Not any more difficult to clean than any other french press. This french press seems to be just about perfect. The best thing out of all of this, is the great cups of coffee you will brew. Bought this one due to such high reviews and very pleased that I did.
