BEST CONDENSER MIC EVER MADE. READ BELOW!
This is my second time buying this mic. First one is still running strong after being thrown around and beat up just wanted a candy apple red one. This is the best condenser mic ever. First of all to realize this, adjust these settings on the properties section of this mic. 1. make sure AGC is unchecked. 2.Turn sound level to about 35 to 50, your choice to prevent any distortion, and 3. change recording quality to DVD quality which is default to CD quality. 4. Now any slight hissing can be removed from vocals with a simple capturing of the profile of the sound of your environment then applied to your vocal to remove any unwanted room noise and hiss for a crispy vocal. This microphone is so powerful, so sensitive but can be adjusted beautifully with my settings above. Other mics for more money sound muffled and phantom powered mics are no where near as clear as this USB mic. Unbelievable. This is a gem. I bought it 5 years ago. Tried out other more expensive usb mics and they sounded muffled compared to this one which records a crisp clear audio. If you want more bass in your voice just use a slight low end parametric eq boost in your audio software. You can work with clear crisp audio. you cant do much with already muffled vocals from other mics. this mic is the one guys. light weight, versatile, durable, cheap price expensive quality. I record all my songs with this mic. [...]

Sold entry level mic, minus the blue LED
After reading a ton of reviews of several condenser mics at the sub $50 price range, the CAD U37 seemed like the best value. I received a fully working unit so I won't get to far onto the technical specs. I would like to point out a couple cons in my opinion however. First and foremost is the EXTREMELY bright blue led light located directly above the 2 switches staring you right in the face. Well, it's annoyingly bright, it flashes while recording and is very distracting. Now obviously you could put a piece of black tape over it (which I did) but thats not the point. It seems like a very poor design considering this mic's sweet spot is approx 6-8 inches away from your month for best capture quality. I tried recording video simultaneously but because it was so bright and flashing on my face, I had to re-record with post narration because it looked like I was standing under a flashing street sign the entire video. You get the point.. So just plan on placing a piece of tape over the light if you buy this. My other gripe is the input lag. I'd say is about 1/2 second of lag while recording if you plan on wearing headphones during sessions. After fully calibrating the mic to my liking, I decided to just record without headphones in the end.But lets talk about the positives. True Plug n Play. Its comes with a very decent stand with height adjustment and tilt. The included USB cord is gold plated and approx 15ft long which is great. Although the mic shell is plastic is seems to be good quality and the screen is metal. The 2 switches which are Bass Reduction and -10db capture both work well although those kind of settings can easily be adjusted through software. The overall sound/recording quality is well worth the $40 I spent. It's a mid grade microphone at an entry level price. I also plan I buying a Blue iCE Mic for about $50 for a comparison because I have also heard very good things about it.In the end I went this the CAD U37 and am comfortable with the price vs value. It's far better than most gaming headset mics or webcams and being USB Plug n Play is very convenient for use with any computer on the go, etc. I have no regrets with this purchase.

Solid buy
This mic is solid..especially for the money. The unit is calibrated kind of high which leads to clipping if you like to sit close on the mic, but the addition of -10db fixes this. I don't particularly like the plastic feel, but if we are simply talking about sound, then this is a good start for people just starting youtube...etc. You can actually manage to get some better sound out of this by editing with some audio software. Overall, I probably would give this mic a 3.5 if allowed.

Not easy to configure - lots of noise when using Skype.
Nice looking mic, seems to sound pretty good too. Only have used it once so far. The down side it was a royal pain to get configured for Windows 10. Came up looking like a speaker. I finally managed to get it configured but not as smooth as I would like. If they had a driver available that would come up on Windows 10 and register as a microphone, then this would be a 5 star item.Update 11/23/16 I've been using this mic with Skype a fair amount recently. Besides being a pain in the butt with Windows 10, the folks on the other side of my conversations seem to hear a fair amount of "buzz". I thought perhaps it was feedback from my speakers, but I used headphones and they could still hear the noise. I am pretty much having to say I am very disappointed with the mic.

I really can't say anything bad about this mic
I've been using CAD mics for years but nothing I have is USB friendly so since I have been using with CAD mics for over 30 years now I thought I would give this mic a shot. So... While this USB mic is not even comparable to the E350's, E250's or E100s's I own currently... for this being a smartly priced USB mic, so far... I really can't say anything bad about this mic. I've only had it for a week or so and so far... It really doesn't care what is connected to, PC, Mac, IOS, Android etc..., it works perfect with everything I've plugged it into! It works great for vocals, great for mic'ing single instruments & even if your using it for gaming communication... Now, if it will last as long as some of my other CAD mics I have only time will tell... Cad is seriously most underrated mic mfr. on the planet...
