A game-changer - will keep your hands warm in the stands!
My hands get cold in the winter. This lets me do something about it, whether I'm going to be indoors or out. It's reasonably priced, dependable, and cheap to use. The Zippo 6-Hour Hand Warmer in Chrome is a great solution to cold hands. I keep a pair of them at work, a pair at home, and a pair in my car. Any time I get a chill, I fuel up one or two, and quickly get some convenient heat. This uses the same burner as the 12-hour warmer, so you'd think it would get the same temperature. But the 6-hour definitely feels warmer. Maybe because it's smaller and has less steel to heat, maybe because I can enclose this smaller heater in my hand and allow almost no heat to radiate directly to the cold air, not sure. But I don't even use my 12-hour heaters any more, just the 6-hours. I have generally found them dependable, but I had an issue with one of the six I purchased. I used the measure to put in the right amount of fuel, but I suspect the wick didn't go down all the way into the reservoir or something, because it'd stop working after only 2-3 hours and subsequent fuels wouldn't accept a full measure of fuel. But Amazon let me exchange it no problems, so I can't take off points there. Here are a few hints for getting along with this handwarmer. * Follow the filling and lighting directions precisely; wait 2 minutes after fueling and reassembling, and don't turn it upside down during that time. * Try using a butane torch lighter (like a Xikar Allume single-jet) to light the hand warmer instead of a 'soft flame' lighter like a Bic or Zippo. You can aim the torch down instead of inverting the hand warmer, and it puts intense heat exactly where you need it. * Try putting this small hand warmer right inside your gloves. You don't need special gloves, just use a large pair. Works best for me if I put the hand warmer in the palm. * Don't try to douse the fire, always let the fuel burn out. * This can get enough oxygen to work in a jacket pocket that's under a motorcycle jacket. Don't assume it needs to be in the open air. * Give it more air for more heat, less air to stretch the fuel out. * The chrome gets hot, so be careful about touching it directly when it's burning. The included cloth bag keeps your fingers safe.

There are questions about what kind of fluid you can use with this. Refer to the photo. The product itself is a great value for the cost. It’s zippo quality and it really does help keep things warm. It’s easy to fill and use. Lighting it does take time and works best if you do it in darker conditions. It works as it should and is very practical. Being able to use multiple fluids is a PLUS.

Burns hotter than the 12hr model!
the 12hr hand warmer i have burns about 20 degrees cooler than the 6hr one. i really like the size of this model a lot more because it fits in the palm of my hand better. works very well outdoors while im working on christmas lights in 35°F temps. i also got this to last around 8 hours on a full tank and the filler “cup” is a lot smaller than the 12hr version so it uses a lot less fuel and costs less per fill. i don’t notice a strong smell, but using any hand warmer like these you will have a very slight hint of lighter fluid if you smell the bag (which i doubt you’ll be doing on a regular basis. i will say that it burns about as hot as my modified 12hr hand warmer (~145°F). i have yet to modify this one because it gets so hot from factory which i enjoy very much. if you want a HOT hand warmer, get this one. fits a lot better in the hand and seems to burn a lot more consistent without going out. expect about 5 hours for the first use and about 8 hours after a couple uses.

Works great ! Puts out plenty of heat for hours on end!
Great little hand warmer for the money! Easy to use and puts off plenty of heat for hours at a time . Came with an easy to use little plastic filler that you squirt the fuel in , then place the funnel part into the warmer and fill it up, much easier than trying to fill it right from the can. The only downside is the platinum or paladium batting / wicking stuff only lasts so long and after a few years requires more but I think there is a kit that u can buy that has enough stuff to redo several . I was under the impression this thing stays lit and burns while in your pocket but it turns out that's a popular misconception with these type hand warmer. It's not actually an open flame that burns the zippo fluid. It's an actual chemical reaction between the fuel and the batting/wick material, yes you light it but the flame goes out and the wick material glows red like charcoal and that's what keeps it warm . I prefer this style of hand warmer over any of the other types. The only downside side is it does put off a bit of an odor , which isn't unpleasant but if you are using it while hunting then you run a high possibility of the deer or hogs or whatever it is ur hunting, smelling you and avoiding you so that's the one application you may want to opt for one of the rechargeable electric models . But for what I use them for they work great and I prefer these over any other kind.

Classic, easy warmth
These are one of my favorite cold weather go to items. They stay warm for hours and you never need to worry about recharging since there are no batteries! I lead a winter camping trip every year and these are always in my pack.

The Zippo hand warmer is hands down the best hand warmer you can buy. I work outside in freezing temperatures. I've used a variety of products such as hot hands, electric warmers, and so on. Nothing can beat these. It's just a matter of how high the energy density of lighter fluid is. This is definitely not for people who are not comfortable with handling flammable liquids, fire, or very hot objects. If you overfill it, it can catch fire when you light it. But luckily, it's easy to blow out and it's very difficult to overfill because of the measuring cups. The only time you would overfill it is if you don't burn all the fuel in it one day, and then try to refuel it the next day. The way it's lit takes a little bit to get the hang of. If you're lighting it indoors, it's easy. I found I got the best results lighting it with a butane torch lighter. A few seconds (maybe 5) on the metal base of the replaceable head to heat it up, and then 1 second on the actual fibres. If you're outside, multiple those times by 2 or 3. The key is that the fuel inside has to be warm enough to vaporize. If the body is too cold, it's harder to start it. Starting it with a regular lighter is a bad idea. You'll get a lot of soot buildup and it takes a lot longer. It needs oxygen to function. The more it gets, the hotter it gets. On the other hand, the colder the steel body gets, the less heat it generates. I've successfully used it in my gloves. That's actually why I got the smaller ones. I already know it works and the smaller size is more convenient. Overall, there is no replacement for this product. There is no competitor. This is it. If you want warm hands in the cold - if you want some serious heat. Get a pair of these. It can and will get so hot that you can't touch it. That's why it comes with a pouch.

Funcional. Tarda en calentarse, y consume bastante combustible. Creo que las opciones eléctricas son mejores
