I GOTCHA

Had one of these given to me as a pressie a year ago and stupidly left it by a lake. I first bought a cheaper replacement version of this and it broke within 2 days. This version is light, compact, plus strong, sturdy and an absolutely a bargain when you start using it. Money back in no time from all the balls retrieved. Fits neatly into the side pocket of your bag yet stretched out to over 10 feet accessing most rivers, lakes and thick bushy recesses. Recovery mechanism is clever and once trapped, the ball stays in. Would not be without one, especially with my golf! Dont get the cheap version, it's not worth it - paying the extra for this is worthwhile. Nice discount too with Amazon. I would judge just on average that I have recovered over 200 Balls in 9 months. 50% almost new. Becoming so selective that I now throw loads backor collect em for mates if they are not shiny top range ones. Have not bought any balls in that time. Saved ££££s.

My old one gave up the ghost after 15 years, so had to be replaced. No problem at all with the product, but the 18' reach is stretching it a bit....:-)I'm 6'3" so have long arms and I can just about make 18', but wouldn't want to do it over water or I'd be in. The pole fully extended is probably 15'.Still the best product for getting balls out of a pond, but no excuse for slight exaggeration on the reach...:-)

Bought a 10ft model but nowhere near long enough, so got this in its place. Ample length but takes a bit of getting used to as it's a bit wobbly at full stretch, so better to keep the furthest end un-extended.

It is sturdy, therefore a little heavy. It is simple to use and very effective. My original one lasted for over 15 years until it was used for support when slipping into a stream!!I had no hesitation in buying the same again.If anything it is stronger and the ball recovery mechanism is improved.

Not easy to to useCould be me but when you are playing golf you have not got time to fiddle around trying to set this up to retrieve your golf ball

A little large to carry in the golf bag and when fully extended quite difficult to control as the retriever becomes a little whippy.

Excellent product for retrieving golf balks from either water or rough.

I was slightly disappointed when this arrived an a metre long cardboard box as I was expecting something that collapsed down far smaller. The models I have seen previously concertina down very small (50cm) but I now realise that these are probably too flimsy to be really useful. Now that I have used this model I realise that I made a lucky mistake, as its extra length and strength allow balls to be retrieved from more challenging locations instead of relatively easy pickups i.e. water hazards.

Bag Boy IGOTCHA said it has a 21 foot reach - I measured it and it is only 17 feet 3 inches long.When I received the retriever the head was not attached together as one unit - I had to assemble it.Just like the videos it is a great retriever if you are picking a ball off a tee - but it doesn't work worth a crap in the real world especially if the ball is between a couple of rocks on the bottom of a pond. When you try to grab the ball and accidentally hit a rock the spring mechanism goes off like a mouse trap - now you have to haul it back in and reset the head. After the 3rd time this happens you normally hear the 4-some behind you yelling "Pick up the pace you a-hole"!The head mechanism is made of plastic. I broke the metal head on my last ball retriever - how long do you think plastic will last? Heck, the head mechanism fell apart twice as I walked down the fairway while the retriever was in my bag - I wasn't even using it!!!People keep trying to build the "better mouse trap". Bag Boy you failed!Amazon was very quick to process my return and refund my money!!

I bought this because of the Bag Boy name and expected a top of the line product. While the extensions seem very good the device at the end is a terrible design and will not even pick up a ball off the floor let alone out of the water/weeds. It depends on a spring that might occasionally work if it had more tension but the one I got did not work at all. Even if it did work now, what about years down the road? There are a lot better designs around now that I see this one in the flesh. Don't waste your money.

Great ball retriever. But when fully extended(you know, where the other retrievers can’t reach and all the balls are) you better have good hand eye coordination. Ring toss at the fair may be easier than getting a ball at full reach.

au golf, au début j`avais des problèmes à capturer la balle balle mais avec la pratique et la patience je suis devenu quasiment un expert je la recommande

seems easy to use but the truth will be on the course ,hope I never have to use it for my ball .

Long extension, works well. Can be a bit tricky for it to click closed over the ball at long extensions.
